I have been wearing this style of Solomons for nine years and I definitely feel like if it's not broke, don't fix it. These were my first trail runners in 2015 and I don't feel any need to find anything else. I do have long skinny feet and they are super comfortable. I wear them with Injinji socks and get zero blisters. I'm hoping they don't stop making them or change them too much! It seems like it's getting hard to find them in REI stores. I live in hot SoCal so I don't want waterproof or boot style.
I needed new hiking shoes for a backpacking trip we were going on and after trying numerous brands and styles, I finally found the winner! The X Ultra 360 fit the bill with being lightweight, durable and comfy. They even work with my gators (as seen in pic). I also like the laces and built in "garage" system for them. I feel they fit perfect but can be tightened or loosened to best suit your feet. Nice job, Salomon!
This shows are super comfortable, I mean extremely comfortable. And what else do we need? I recommend so much!
I wear an 8 1/2 shoe, and a nine sneaker and these fit perfectly in the nine as usual. Love the color. My only complaint and it’s a minor one. Is it the tongue on my left shoe twist a little bit to the inside and I have to keep yanking it back the one on the right does less but still does it otherwise I’m perfectly happy.
A cute hiking shoe love it! Love the colorway I love looking cute on my long hikes and didn't think it was possible til I found this shoe. The only thing is the inner ankle hurts sometimes, might have to break them in a bit more. I did a 5 mile hike the other day so hopefully by my next one it'll be more broken in.
Very nice and comfy would surely recommend. It turned out have size bigger than expected but it was me.
I’ve been wearing Salomon shoes for more than ten years and I am a big fan of its quick lace design. The new 360 hiking shoes are comfortable but the design of the tongue and the quick lace is subpar (sliding and became loose during hiking that required frequent adjustments). I understand 360 is positioned as a level down from the main line, however, the key elements of a hiking shoes cannot be compromised as they affect the hikers safety. I am disappointed that the brand seems to focus more on the lifestyle shoes than the technical shoes these days.
Thank you for your loyalty over the past ten years and for your detailed feedback on the 360 hiking shoes. We understand your concerns about the tongue design and Quiklace system performance during your hikes. While the 360 line is positioned differently within our range, we absolutely agree that safety and performance should never be compromised, regardless of the product tier. Your feedback about the tongue sliding and laces becoming loose is important information that we'll share with our product development team. We remain committed to our technical heritage and appreciate customers like you holding us accountable to those standards.
Comfortable but the ouer soles are hard compared to prior shoes in this brand.
Comfort & good support combined. Light weight. Very flexible. Soles do not collect rocks or dirt! Love that! I tried this style bc of the quick-lace feature. (I recently broke my hand after a fall caused by stepping on my own shoelaces. Ha!) I do like the lacing, but not a fan of the tuck-in method. I have very narrow feet, so tighter lacing & thus more excess string could be the issue. Feels lumpy and slips out, but not enough to trip over. 🙂 Any tricks or a way to shorten the lacing-loop?
Double check the sizing chart and measure your feet before buying these. I wear 8.5 in pretty much every shoe but Salomon, for these I needed an 8. They are comfortable now that they're broken in (it took about 100 miles and 2 weeks on concrete) if you can't get through the extended time it takes. My only continued concern is that I can't get them tight enough to stop my feet from sliding without being very uncomfortable, so I tolerate the slipping. Even with that issue, I plan to buy another pair.
