Not enough stretch, but they look good.

These pants feel very durable. I love the colors that they come in. I have mixed feelings on the red built-in belt. The belt is not my favorite feature. I would rate these higher, but for field pants I would really like to have a little stretch or give to the pants. They are pretty stiff. I'm 5'7 and 160lbs. I normally buy size 10 in most brands for jeans, shorts, etc. But with these I found that even the size 12 is a little tight. Probably not the best pant if you are climbing, bending, crouching, or kneeling a lot. Just not enough flexibility with these pants. I do really like how they look and they do feel like they will hold up during field work.

Runs too small

I orded one size up after reading they ran small....and it was still too small in the waist and butt. I'm not even sure if two sizes up would do it. Beware! I had to return.

Couldn't commit to the fit

I was nervous to order my regular size because the reviews said they ran small. I am 5'4" and 210 lbs so I have curvy hips and butt. Size 14 fit but was a little tight in the hips and butt for my liking but they still buttoned and "fit." The material was exactly what I was looking for- something thicker and abrasion resistant for hiking through thorns/brambles. I'm afraid a size up would be too big. I just couldn't commit to them.

Big fan!

I've been looking for a pair of outdoorsy pink pants for a while but never seem to find a short size so these were perfect!! First pair of OR pants and so going off the size chart I got the 2. For reference, I'm 5ft1" and under 110lbs. For anyone wondering how the belt works, it was three little loops so you can adjust it based on your waist which is handy and makes for a good fit. Wore them climbing for the first time this week and I found they had good stretch when moving around! Big fan :) Only change is I wish the short size was just an inch or two shorter since they're still a bit long.

Nice fabric, runs small

I'm 5'4", 125 lbs, 27-28" waist and 36" hips, flatter butt, short legs. I got a size 2 Short (ignoring the size chart) because I usually wear around a 2 in most brands (0 in Prana Halle, 4 in Lulu tights, 2/XS in Athleta, 25 in Madewell jeans). The fit in the legs is a tad long, loose but not overly baggy. The waist has a bit of give but the belt is completely stiff and I think a bit too small. The fit in the bum and legs is good but the waist is too tight to sit comfortably in so I'm going to try the 4 Short. The material is awesome. Feels really sturdy but comfortable. The burgundy color is really beautiful. I'm hoping to wear these rock climbing and in cooler temps for hiking. Pockets are decent size.

Fits the less curvy body

First pair of pants I received were too big (10) so quick and efficient return with size smaller ( size 8, at 135 lbs, 5’8”) resulted in a wonderful summer garment that fits great. As someone who is not curvy, these feel surprisingly tailored for me. Love the patch pockets front and back too!

Great Pants!

I really do enjoy these pants! The color is so pretty, and I feel secure in them. I do agree with the other reviews on the awkwardness of the belt, and the overall stiffness of the pant. I don't do anything too active in them for that reason, but they're a wonderful everyday pant! In addition, the pants fit me perfectly, but if I were a little bigger or smaller, the belt might have been an issue. For reference, I ordered a size 6 short, and I am 5'5" 145lbs. I carry most of my weight in my rear and thighs.

Absolutely love my Shastin pants !

I absolutely love my new Shastin pants! They are comfortable and look very classy. What I mostly like about them is that they can be worn for hiking, as well as for a normal work day. They can even be worn on a more professional occasion. The fit is perfect, the color is super nice and the material is of high quality. I would totally recommend these pants to anyone, outdoorsy or not!

Amazing pants!

I love these pants!! They are comfortable, fit great and aren't too tight (I'm sick of skinny jeans, lol). I've literally had a stranger stop me at the grocery store to ask where I got them. They are be great for hiking, and everyday active and casual wear. I'm 5,6" and 120 lbs (with a shorter inseam) and size 4 short is perfect. The burgundy colour is lovely too. Highly recommend!

Pants are great, fixed belt is not

These pants initially fit tight in the hips, they have some flex after a few wears and now fit great! My only issue was that the fixed belt is very inflexible and makes the pants fit way too small around the waist. I pinned mine on the inside to not loose the end of the belt and have been clipping my keys on the loop. It works!
