SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes.
TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.

Great shirt for working out
Super lightweight and breathable shirt for hiking, working out, running, etc. Soft and light material that doesn't weigh down your arms and allows for full range of motion. I have always loved the REI line of base layers and working out shirts, and I found this model to be just like others I have owed. Highly recommend!
Nice t-shirt.
This t-shirt looks and feels nice. I got a few compliments while wearing it at the gym. People are not used to seeing me wearing something that looks this nice. I did not get an opportunity to wear it while hiking or jogging but wore it a bunch of times to the climbing gym. I wore it a few days in a row between washing it and did not notice it getting stinky. We had a week of warm weather and the gym got pretty humid and warm. The t-shirt kept me comfortable. I have washed it 5 or 6 times already and it is keeping it's shape and still looks good. I usually get mediums in t-shirts. This shirt seems bigger than most mediums. I think a lot of people would like that but I will probably try a size small when I get more of them.
Great all around shirt for the outdoors
Highlights: Great shirt. Very light, stretchy fabric, breathable, dries very quickly, low odor, semi-loose fit. After wearing this on several hikes, snowshoeing, around town, doing yard work, and a couple of runs, I'm really happy with this shirt. First thing I noticed was that it wasn't really snug like a lot of athletic shirts are, which I liked since I tend to sweat pretty heavily. This helped with how quickly the shirt dried, and also kept me cooler since air moves though the fabric to the skin. The length of the shirt seemed a bit longer than most athletic shirts like this but that's my preference for length. After a 7 mile hike wearing a jacket and large backpack the back of the shirt was pretty wet with sweat but by the time I got to town 20 mins later it was completely dry. I made a point of wearing this three times without washing it, and the odor level really wasn't bad. I wouldn't hesitate using this on a multi day backpacking or camping trip. After washing the shirt a dozen or so times, it really seems as good as it was the first time I wore it. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a good workout shirt.
Getting worse compered to 2023 version of it

If someone from REI is reading this review, please return the 2023 year version. It is one of the best T-shirts I have ever worn.
Generically comfortable shirt
Quality: the t-shirt feels supple, lightweight, breathable and comfy. It's a great medium weight, not heavy or too lightweight. Sizing: I got a Large Tall and it certainly runs big. I'm 6'1" and 170 lbs and the shirt looked quite large on me. Definitely consider a smaller size if you want a sleeker fit Use: with it being a synthetic blend, you can wear this for many activities. With the size that I got, I would likely wear this as a sleeping shirt.
Better Than a T-Shirt
T-shirts used to be cotton, white, poorly fitting, badly sewn, and scratchy. This shirt is none of those things. It fits perfectly, is extremely comfortable, moves with your body, stretches, facilitates perspiration evaporation, is extremely well made, and looks great. It works great for normal fitness activities and day to day wear. I realize this is high praise for a t-shirt, but it is the best "t-shirt" I have ever worn.
Great shirt!
This shirt is great, and very versatile. From outdoor use, to in the gym, to simply hanging around, it's great. When I first opened the package a thought occurred to me that I never had before about a product, and that was the stitching. For whatever reason it seems really solid - it really seems to be made well. Often times I have shirts that start coming apart at the stitching, but I don't see that happening with the Active Pursuit t-shirt. The second thing I really liked about the shirt is the stretchiness of it. The material feels really nice and it's very comfortable. The stretchy fabric is great. Finally, I've washed this shirt several times already and it's holding up well and looks like it did on day one. I've worn this shirt in the gym several times and really like it for sweaty activities. Now the reason I only gave it four stars. I selected a large, and while the tall size is a perfect length, the width of the shirt through the body feels like an XL. Most larges are not so wide, but this shirt seems rather wide for a large. That said, it would not stop me from buying this shirt at all. I've had several REI shirts over the years and this one is by far the best.
Would not recommend
Tested in the Louisiana summer, this shirt is not comfortable to wear. The material is pretty thick, it doesn’t breathe well and traps any sweat inside. The description made me think it would perform well outdoors in the sun, but instead it’s exactly what I would expect from a 92% polyester shirt — hot and scratchy. Instead, I suggest spending the extra money for the Mountain Hardwear Crate Lake T-Shirt. Super soft, lightweight, airy, and 50 UPF. I wear it every day.
