Disappointing change
I’ve bought the Fleetwith dress in a few different colors in years past, and it’s been a summer go-to because it looked and felt great, and packed well. The waist, pockets, and back are completely different. I love the Sienna color but the new dress design is less flattering and lower quality overall. Beware if you’re a repeat purchaser - same name, different dress.
Great dress, but the old one was better.
I'm conflicted with this dress. It's a great dress. I love the fabric in the Fleetwith line of clothes - water resistant, breathable, quick-drying. This dress fits me well and is comfortable and I would love to bring it while traveling in the summer. However, I own two of the old Fleetwith style dresses, and those are arguably way more flattering. The cross back was able to accomplish something you just can't with a flat back - it makes the size a tad more versatile so that it can fit a variety of body shapes. I wear a S in both the old style and this new style (5'5, ~135), but the new style is a lot baggier up top on me, and the waistline is a lot less flattering. The old style had a wide waistband that fell in a dropped waist position, which is more flattering on my body shape (short wider torso, long legs). The new style has a thin elastic waist that I have to pull tight and pull up to my natural waist in order for the dress to not look like a sack. It's a very different look. However, as someone who dislikes showing bra straps, I find this new style a lot easier to work with since I don't need a special bra to wear it. I will keep this style, but I expect the older style to work with a lot more people, and Patagonia should really consider going back to the old beloved style.
does not wash well
I love that its lightweight and the color is an easy match for everything else in my bag. But, it stains easily and does not wash well. Those are essential features for a travel dress, especially when it's my only one on a lightweight trip.
Comfortable, but has issues
Nice dress for men and women. Fit is true to sizing. Hangs well, and length is just right above the knees. Fabric is super comfortable and dries quickly. The waist drawstring is so long, and you always have lots of drawstring hanging down. After trying for many days, Pockets were the feature that made this dress most appealing. However, my iPhone and keys kept falling out of the pockets when sitting in my van, on the couch, and when crouching to pick something up from ground. Returned because of pocket issues.

Super cute dress for hot summer nights. Lightweight, easy to wash and looks great. I wear my black dress with a regular black bra...no need for a racerback. yay!

Love the dress….you can dress it down or dress it up….went fishing with my grandsons in the afternoon ….so cool and refreshing even though it was 94 degrees
