Excellent

I live in Northwestern Ontario. I bought the 30oz mug roughly six months ago. It has not disappointed me once. It is perfect. I take it almost everywhere I go, to stay hydrated. It keeps my water nice and chill for hours. It fits in my Subaru cupholder perfectly. You can control which way the handle is located (left or right hand) with the technology in the lid. It can be set in four positions! I wish there was a stronghold straw lid; for the ease of use when driving for long periods of time. Trying to drink the last few ounces of water, while driving, is not an ideal situation (causes distraction). I liked it so much, I got two of the 20oz ones for my wife and me. We use them when we travel. It helps to keep the resort drinks cold while we are at the beach ;). Keep it clean and it will serve you for many moons. Enjoy

If I could give negative stars, I would.

The handle is great, the “stronghold” lid ruined Yeti cups for me. It screws in “secure”, then you take a drink and it leaks from the lid seal. The new designed mag parts are more intricate with tiny crevices that are impossible to clean. And to throw salt on the wound, there is no screw on lid with the mag slide even if you did want to pay extra to get the better original design. I was super excited for my customized 30oz. Now I’m just going to have to stick my neck out every time I take a sip to make sure I don’t dribble on my self. Thanks, Yeti.

Run, don’t walk away.

Absolutely don’t buy it. It’s a horrible product, you can’t use it because of the way the lid is made, it’s a terrible design that obviously no one tested. There’s not an air spout so nothing comes out. Hate it, it’s horrible and I’m so disappointed. I spent a ridiculous amount of money for something I will never use.

Cannot get Drink out of Mug. Poor Design. Suckit!

My wife bought this for me as a gift to reduce plastic water bottle consumption. It also cuts down on water consumption because you can't get it out of the mug once it's in there. A very "pour" design. If you get three bad decisions in life the person that designed this cap has two left. Apparently nobody at yetti drank out of this mug. And if they did they didn't want to say anything because it was somebody's nephew that designed it. So Don't buy this mug, trust me you will not be happy with it unless it's up in the cupboard next to your other travel mugs. Maybe I will drill a hole in the top of it to allow some air in! MMM that's an Idea! Very disappointing design and product. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!

Review of the new mug

I read all the reviews prior to buying. I have the 24oz mugs w/ handle which fit my 4 fingers. This mug only fits 3 fingers and is heavier. Makes it a bit different to carry around when full. The twist off is fine but you have to memorize the starting point of the twisting mechanism so that the drink hole is aligned with the handle to drink properly. Probably because you can go leftie/rightie but it should be noted. The actual drink hole is smaller and does not fit a straw. Overall, not bad but I foresee many people complaining about the lack of these features in the new design. I also think they will come out with a new straw lid to sell for this..

Handle is nice, but not the lid.

I was hooked on yeti from my first cup. I like how long the drinks stay cold or hot. I can carry it in my bag without leaking. However, I don’t like the new lid. Initially I thought the threaded lid would keep it from leaking, but it is no longer interchangeable with my other cups and lids. When the new press slide is open it creates a vacuum and about half empty makes it hard to drink more than a trickle. It just doesn’t work for me and I returned all the cups that I hadn’t used with this new style lid.

LID LEAKS!

I always wanted my own Yeti cup. This seemed to be the perfect cup for me. The handle is great! Easy to carry. Keeps my drink cold all day. I bought one for my older sister with her name engraved. After a few months the lid started leaking. The seal didn’t even want to stay up. So disappointed! I recommended this to my coworker who also bought two cups. If I would have read all the bad reviews, I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone after experiencing the leaks.

Do not like the threaded inside or the lid.

This is not the lid that I wanted. It is awkward to use it feels like I need to press my nose on the stopper to get it to open enough to get a drink. Every time I try to drink from this lid it spills on my shirt. I would just order another lid, but it has threads inside the cup that prevent the straw lid from working with it. Wrong product. It is not what I want. Can I return it?

Very disappointed

Love my large Yeti with black plastic handle I had for 6 years. Never left home without it. Even when traveling over seas. Always kept my Diet Coke and ice cold even in FL heat. But it just like that wore out and I had to order a new large YETI. Since I use it every day all day long I spent the extra money and got it monogrammed with my initials and in my favorite color and this time it came with a handle. Got it a few days ago. New only made for drinking. Lid totally redesigned and it is not interchangeable with lid you can use a straw.. I only drink with a straw. I have to now have to put straw in slide part of lid. Does not seal and therefore does not keep it cold as long. Much heavier also.
