First off: They really got the color right. It’s subdued but the purple to lavender moves as you run and changes shades. So they look cool, kinda smokey not a neon glare. It’s nice to be able to pop in somewhere post run and not feel like you’re trying to announce - I RUN! They go with sweats and jeans for zipping around. The fit is really true. I’m a 9.5 to 10 and tested the 9.5. Was surprised it had perfect toe room, my heel stayed in place during runs and they did not stretch out. The tread looked a bit shallow at first so I was curious how well they would hold the surface. I tried them on asphalt, crushed gravel and just regular cross country dirt climbs. Also had the chance to run in rain and some good mud. In all surfaces I was happy with the road grip, even on some hills. I put about 100 miles on them and the wear seems minimal so far. I would say they work best on stable ground, but I always felt supported. They dry quick. I usually wear a gel model from another brand which helps support my plantar fasciitis. I had no issues wearing these, but wouldn’t use them everyday just to be safe. All around a comfortable and good looking running shoe.
I was excited to receive the adidas Supernova Rise shoes, they looked amazing coming out of the box - a sporty shade of black/blue/purple with bright green accents. They are lightweight and they appeared well made and sturdy. High curb appeal, immediately. Unfortunately, they also looked large and wide. I verified the size, women’s 9, check. So I tried them on. They didn’t feel as oversized on my feet as they looked coming out of the box. In my opinion, they run a half size larger than their stated size, but they are definitely long, wide and somewhat clunky. I wanted so much to like these shoes, but with their lack of an arch support, lack of cushion and lack of springiness that I am accustomed to, I did not feel energized on my run. I gave them a try on the treadmill at the gym, hoping that the even surface might make me change my opinion, but they are just too flat and floppy for me.
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. Me: member of the master runners (50+) Comfort: Adidas supernova offers a lot of cushion and traction while walking on trails. I also found it is more breathable than my other running shoes so they will definitely be good for hot wether or long runs. Fit: I normally wear size 7 for everyday shoes and 7.5 for running shoes. Size 7 in this pair of adidas offers a lot of room so I would say the fit is slightly more generous. Style: They are definitely a good looking pair of shoes with the classic adidas style.
I found the Supernova to be a comfortable neutral shoe suitable for my short jogs and all day walking. I did add a supportive insole to add more arch support and began wearing them at work as well. The colors are great and match nearly everything, including my work scrubs. I like the pop of neon that gives them a unique look. I gave them 4 stars just because I had to add my own insoles to make them more comfortable.
For me, these shoes felt amazing the first time I put them on. Only time will tell how high quality the materials of the shoe are. So far I am quite happy with them.
I absolutely love these shoes! They are extremely comfortable, so much so that I was able to wear them all day (to the gym, to work, and for a walk around the park) without a single complaint. These shoes are stylish as well. They work great for both causal wear and for running or use at the gym. They provide great support and traction. I live in a hot climate and one of my favorite aspects of this shoe is that my foot doesn't sweat much in it, even if I've been wearing it all day. Another perk is that the laces stay tied, which is something I constantly struggle with when it comes to other running shoes. One side note - the shoe does run about a 1/2 size large - I am an 8.5 typically, but would recommend going with an 8 in this shoe.
I was super skeptical about buying a pair of sneakers (new model) online without trying them on, but I’m so happy I did! I took the leap and made the purchase and they are everything I hoped for. Brooke then in with a 3 mile indoor treadmill run followed by HIIT workouts and not only were my feet comfortable and supported the entire time, They were giving me the support I needed with regards to absorbing the impact to me knees. I’ll also add that I had no pain in my feet later on in the day nor the next day due to my plantar fasciitis which usually happens with certain sneakers. I’m totally buying them in another color to have options!
The Supernova is a solid choice for the runner looking for a durable cushy daily runner. They are comfortable right out of the box and have wide toebox. However, they are heavier so not a good choice if you’re looking for a pair to crush your 5K sprint. These shoes have lots of cushioning, if that is what you’re looking for. They are great choice for runners looking for shoes that want extra springy for long or recovery runs.
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. Good cushion, yet still relatively light. Comfortable with minimal need to break in. Good stability and support, and will likely be even better with arch supports/custom inserts, especially for those who prefer more arch support or have low arches.
I should've ordered a half size smaller but couldn't wait to wear them. They're very comfortable for my high impact classes providing the cushion I need. I wear them for weight lifting class too although they're just a little too cushy, but I'm too lazy to switch shoes. I'm mostly disappointed in the quality because the sole is peeling off after wearing for about 2 weeks and I only wear them for a few hours at a time for classes, not all day. I've never had this happen before, so I don't know if I'll buy again.
