Quality product, great price.
Got this for our 16 month old in size 18-24 month, and it fits true to size. My kiddo is a little small for his age but was still able to fit just fine. Acts as a great wind shell for cold weather, and makes it so you can layer under it for varying temperatures, including snowy conditions. A bit more versatile than a full insulated winter suit and able to be used in summer rain too. Stayed water proof each time we have used it, even on the butt area that my son finds himself sitting on regularly. Double front zippers made for easy on and off. Looks stinking cute, and performed very well. Wish they made one in adult size.
Great little rain suit!
I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is that it is a little difficult to take off quickly when a little kid has to go to the bathroom suddenly! Overall though this suit is very easy to take on and off, seems sturdy, and is definitely waterproof for rolling around in wet grass. Haven’t had a chance to try it in pouring rain yet. Other than the potty problem, I think it’s easier and more water proof than having separate rain coat and pants. My kid loves to put it on and romp around!
Full send for rain AND snow!
Oh wow! This suit is awesome! We have been playing in both the rain and the sow with this rain suit. It does a great job wicking water but also allows for ample layering underneath which makes it great for snow. I really appreciated the cuffs at the ankles and wrists as they close just enough to keep heat in but with out being restrictive. The fabric used breathes nicely as well. It did get me thinking that a full gortext version would be rad too. Huge value on this piece of gear!
Awesome suit for kids in all weather
This rain suit is AWESOME!! one of the best well spent items for kids. My son wears this in rain and snow… keeps him dry and has help up for over a year now ( bought a 3T when he was still 1.5) but even oversized - no tripping or leaking! Buy it!!! Great product!
High quality with nice details
My son is on the larger end of 3T. I upsized and got the 4T for him. Even if he was 4T, the fit is still spacious with room to layer. The legs have velcro which makes this size work great on him right now, even though its still large. He was able to have freedom of movement to play how he wanted on a rainy Portland day. The hood was spacious (many cheaper brands I feel have too small of hoods), the zippers had covers to protect his skin, good closure on wrist bands. The suit is light weight and movable, yet durable. He scraped his way down a set of wooden stairs and there were no marks and no damage to the butt area. Based on my experience, I would recommend upsizing and get 2-3 seasons out of the suit, or go true-to-size and get 1-2 seasons out of it. Its clearly a very nicely built product, built to last, and performs better than generic cheap rain suits Ive tried in the past.
Keeps the Little one dry
I live in New Mexico and don’t see too many rainy days. However this fall/winter has been wet and I was able to use this. The first thing I like was the ease of putting it on. At 1.5 years old it is difficult to get anything on my kid. This product has a dual zipper design that makes it easier. It seems to be made of sturdy material. Tripped and fell a couple times and the suit held up. Great waterproof suit to keep your little one dry and “happy”.
Toddler ready rainsuit
We were lucky to get some nice rain with a warm front which was the perfect opportunity for our child to utilize the rainsuit. The suit fit them very well. We were concerned because toddler clothes can vary in how they are sized, but it fit them really well with the arms being a nice length and having room to breath where they were not being suffocated wearing it. The hood fit them well and they didn't appear to be constricted in their movement. The legs were roomy enough where it was easy to get legs over the boots so those nice puddles were fun for then to jump in and stay dry as possible. Having it be a dual front zipper made getting into the rainsuit very easy as well as easy to get off when we got back inside. The material was light but felt thick enough where we weren't concerned about having enough layers to stay warm with normal clothes underneath on a more than average warm day during a winter rainstorm.
Works Without Slowing Down a Toddler
I wasn't sure how my little one would respond to having to wear a rain suit, but he ended up loving playing in it. The waterproofing works great and since it's a full body instead of a separate top and bottom, I wasn't constantly trying to pull things down or up to keep my kid fully covered as he ran around. There's no insulation but the fit is roomy enough that there's plenty of room for layering in the winter, and it'll be great to have something lightweight and breathable for rain in the warmer months. The double zippers also help with getting this on over winter layers, and overall they made it easier to wrangle a wiggly toddler in. One of my favorite features was the hood. I usually find hoods to be either to small or so big that they cover the eyes and don't keep cold air out. This hood was just the right size -- I could tell because he wasn't constantly trying to push it off like he does with other coats. The visor did a great job keeping the rain off his face, too. I found the legs to be a little short, so I might recommend sizing up for a taller kiddo (and just to get more seasons out of it since you can layer). Even when we came back inside for a break, my kid was comfortable enough to keep running around in this suit and didn't seem to find it restricting at all. I also love that the tag inside has space to write multiple names -- that's a great feature to encourage reusing the item!
Keeps Your Toddler Dry!
The Rainier Rainsuit (Size 3T) is a great little cover-all to keep your little one dry and warm on the rainiest of days. The dual angled zippers allow the rainsuit to be put on quickly and easily—a big plus with toddlers who don’t sit still for long! I also love the reflective accents which ensure your little one can be seen by passing cars while splashing around. The only area for possible improvement would be to add a tight closure/cuff at the bottom of the pant, to seal out moisture completely.
Great rain and wind gear!
My son is on 18mo to 2T, bought two sizes up (4T). Fits comfortably especially when he’s sitting while playing.
