Great replacement for the ME7
Shimano GE900 is a worthy successor to the ME7. I’ve worn out several pairs of the ME7 shoes since introduction and still have one pair as backup. The main issue with that shoe has always been the speed laces. They do wear out much faster than the rest of the shoe. I have had the 5 ten Boa shoes before and like that feature even though the Shimano shoes fit my feet better. The Shimano Boa integration seems much better protected than other brands so we’ll have to wait and see if I manage to break the Boa system on these shoes
Quick on and Off
I bought these shoes to replace an older lace pair that was giving me pain in the forefoot and foot numbness. The wider box gives my foot some more room and the clips holes give you flexibility for cleat placement. The BOA cables and Velcro make taking this on and off really convenient and rear collar on the heel helps keep small stones from kicking up into your shoe on gravel
