Camping in damp, freezing conditions? The long-length Mountain Hardwear Lamina 15 women's sleeping bag is made with insulation designed to provide high loft, durability, softness and compressibility.

  • Features

    • Proprietary, welded Lamina™ construction stabilizes the fill without sewing through the bag, maximizing loft and eliminating cold spots and moisture penetration points
    • Lamina construction also thermally maps insulation to the areas where you need the most warmth
    • Thermal.Q insulation is laid in a wave shape, enhancing loft and increasing thermal efficiency; offset welds increase stability and loft
    • Standard women-specific mummy cut is efficient, warm and comfortable
    • Shaped draft collar blocks the escape of warm air from inside the bag
    • Tailored hood comfortably blocks drafts and seals in warmth
    • Insulated draft tube extends to bottom of bag to eliminate cold spots
    • Contoured footbox is shaped to allow feet to rest naturally; shape preserves loft and allows insulation to drape close to feet for extra warmth
    • 30-denier ripstop nylon shell fabric is lightweight and compressible; a durable water repellent (DWR) finish causes water to bead up and roll off
    • 40-denier polyester taffeta lining breathes for comfort and feels great against skin
    • Light and durable, 2-way zipper with locking slider is backed by wide, antisnag binding tape for easy entry, exit and ventilation
    • Left-hand and right-hand zippered bags have zip-together functionality
    • Nylon compression sack and mesh storage sack included
    • Inside length measures 86 in. (218 cm); bag loft is 5.5 in.
    • Extreme temperature rated to -32°F (-36°C)

Many sleeping bags are rated for temperature by an independent testing protocol. REI and the broader industry now use the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 23537 protocol, which improves on the older European Norm (EN) 13537 standard; you may still see older items in our assortment that were only EN tested. With either protocol, each bag gets a Comfort (or T-Comfort) rating and Lower Limit (or T-Limit) rating. The Comfort rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "cold sleeper" comfortable, and the Lower Limit rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "warm sleeper" comfortable. Ratings are based on a person wearing one long underwear layer and a pair of socks, sleeping on an insulated surface with a minimum R-value of 5.38. Many brands use the Comfort rating for women's bags and the Lower Limit rating for men's and unisex bags. Everyone's body and sleep comfort differ, and conditions of use (posture, clothing, sleeping pad R-value, wind, humidity, etc.) affect total insulation, so EN and ISO ratings are intended as a guideline to help you compare products, rather than a guarantee of warmth.
