I haven't been able to test it in the cold yet, but it is super comfortable, packs up tightly, and is light. It came with a bag large enough to fit the sleeping bag, a two-person tent, and a sleeping pad.
I purchased the Mountain Hardware sleeping bag with the expectation that it would keep me warm in 42 F. (I was camping at Lake Louise June 2025). I can report in and say it did not keep we warm. I had an insulated sleeping pad under me, and a sleeping bag sheet as well. Very disappointing. Would not recommend for 45 degrees.
I’m admitting to being a warm sleeper, so of course your results may vary. I porch test all of my bags to verify what I can expect in the field. My digital thermometer was reading 14 degrees Fahrenheit at 6 am . I never once was even cool, let alone cold. My first foray into the backcountry was about 18 degrees, and with my insulated Nemo Tensor under me, my results were a great nights sleep! This bag will be all I ever need. I’ll never be out any colder than this!
Jackets, pants, shoes, tents, climbing gear, often even sleeping pads – comes in different colors. But sleeping bags seldom does. Borrowed this one from a friend, loved it, but no, I don't want a blue sleeping bag. I want a red or orange so it doesn't look like I just won the "ten thousand color camping award" inside my tent.
This sleeping bag is actually outstanding. So much so it was worth taking time to leave a review. Excellent loft and warmth. Roomy and comfortable for the design. The neck cuff is nice and provides a great seal to keep in the warmth. This is the first sleeping bag I was actually comfortable and warm in all night.
This is my third Lamina sleeping bag and love it. Inner liner is soft as silk and zippers work great. Hood on Mountain Hardwear sleeping bags are a plus.
You can’t go wrong with any bag in the Lamina or Bishop Pass line…Mountain Hardware makes the best gear on the planet…
Very light, and bulky. But compresses down so well, perfect -9 bag
My title says it all. Had to return after about 20 nights out!
