Impressive and compact, long battery life

Awesome battery life and great features for a stellar price. The app is way nicer than Garmin's and with the new update, adding maps is a breeze now. I have had it just over a month and have only charged it 3 times. It's ideal if you are looking for a GPS watch with map functionality and great training features, and not all the bells and whistles that come with "smarter" watches. I also appreciate the smaller face size. So far, I have been stoked on the watch.

You're rolling the dice with this one -- good luck

This is gonna come across as harsh, but it's an honest review. I had my original COROS Apex (purchased through REI a couple years ago) recalled in January for some mysterious reason. I LOVED that watch! I opted to pay $50 to upgrade to an Apex 2 replacement, thinking it'd be as good if not better. Feature-wise, it's pretty similar to the previous watch (no complaints), but the GPS tracking (both modes) has been horrendous. Real-time pacing jumps back and forth within a 5-minute range when I'm running a steady pace. I've obviously gotten a defective watch, given the generally positive reviews, but COROS support has forced me to troubleshoot for months instead of replacing it -- and been remarkably patronizing in the process. I'm over COROS. Caveat emptor. Two stars for the afterglow of my previous affection for the company.

Perfect for the Heart Rate Training Runner

Great watch for runners! I'm doing MAF (heart rate training) so this watch was perfect -- I mainly wanted to make sure this watch had a customizable screen so that I don't see pace and focus on my heart rate when I run. Another important feature that was a must for me is an alarm that will let me know when I go below/over my heart rate zone. Coros APEX 2 has it and it's been working perfectly for me! I love that I can also set an alarm to remember to take my gels/gummies every 30 minutes for my long runs! Honestly, love this watch and I'd buy it again! :) Very happy with it!

Grateful and impressed – amazing support and great

I’ve been using sports watches for over 7 years, and my COROS has been my favorite by far — beautiful design, easy-to-use app, and excellent performance. When I had an issue with my watch, the COROS support team responded quickly and generously offered a replacement. I’m deeply impressed by their customer care and feel truly supported as part of the COROS community. Highly recommend — both the product and the people behind it!

Bad watch, worse company

Within 3 weeks of buying this watch the GPS started giving erroneous data. It would take points all over the place and add miles to my runs, sometimes doubling them. I contacted their customer support and its terrible. You have to create a ticket on their app. Then get a response about 5 days later. They have a phone number but their office hours are m-th 10-2 and even if you try calling during those hours you will never get ahold of someone. After a month of back and forth they admitted the watch was faulty and claimed to send me a new one. Low and behold they sent me an empty box. I will be returning the faulty watch and buying a Garmin.

Great battery life, love this watch

Originally I had the APEX which I loved. Unfortunately, after a couple years I had some problems with the battery and heart rate monitor. Within the week of reaching out to customer service they replaced my old watch with the upgraded APEX 2. This watch is great in the back country because of the long battery life and mapping system. Great for running, skiing, and ski touring too. It is not great at tracking pool swimming, but it is amazing in open water.

Great for trail running

I'm an ultra runner (100km - 100 mi) and switched from Garmin to Coros. I don't need a lot of gadgets on trails. Good battery life and light weight. Love the watch!

Great all around watch

The COROS Apex 2 is hands down the best watch for your money. Very high end quality at a more affordable price. Does everything you need and more for the all around outdoor athlete. I use it mostly for running and swimming but has the capability to do so much more. The battery life is amazing. I’ve had several Garmin watches and they don’t even compare.

Apple Watch ---> Coros

I am training for my first 50k and replaced my apple watch ultra with this. I have had it for about 6 weeks now and wow this thing is epic. The battery life is crazy and the health stats are actionable which I appreciate. I most definitely recommend it.

Great Watch. Amazing Battery

Love my Apex2. I've owned several fitness watches. This does what they all do, but with far superior battery life. I can go for days and days between charges, even when using full GPS during workouts. Very good HR tracking and accuracy. Coros software is solid and it's clear they continue to add features and functions. Brand seems to be a little under the radar but is well known in endurance circles.
