All NRS paddle gloves are unusable
I am a big fan of NRS brand. Their SUP and PDF are second to none. But ALL of the paddle gloves I've tried have horrible flaw: they all have a seam right where hand contacts paddle and it gives me blisters. Theis applies to various models and various materials.
Too Tight!
I finally got the right size and yes they kept me dry while kayaking, but I was unable to put them back on while out on the water.
Sizing is off. Too tight!
I usually take a size medium in NRS neo gloves and that is what their size chart indicates. I really wanted to like these Maverick Gloves but the sizing is off. They fit fine in length, but they are too tight and difficult to get off. I can't imagine fighting with them while out on the water. For what is worth I have a small hand for a male, but these are a NO GO.
Great gloves!👍🏻
I’ve been using NRS products for over 25 years and all of their remains consistent. These replaced a former pair of gloves that I had worn holes in. Size large is consistent. These are form-fitting and have no sloppy feel when paddling. They are a blessing to have in SE Alaska’s winter paddling.
Simply not a good glove for sea kayaking
Like others here, I am a big NRS fan and I own a much patched, and much loved earlier version of these gloves. I bought the newer version to replace them and found that the changes in design and materials resulted in a vastly inferior and uncomfortable glove. While I ordered the same size (medium), getting them on was an incredible struggle. They are the right size, but the design pinches the hand and fingers uncomfortably. Also the gloves are very stiff and the way the seams on the fingers are designed, they rob you of all but the grossest of finger dexterity. I found that I could not wear them and press buttons—which is a critical function if I need to use a marine VHF radio to call for help. Getting them back off was another struggle and I can't imagine the challenge it would be to need to remove your glove on the water to do something requiring fine finger control (operate a radio, grab a deckline, use a tow belt, etc.) and then put the glove back on. While it is possible these will "wear in" and become more useable the more you wear them, this isn't an item that should require that. I do hope NRS has a much better, more usable update comning.
