Disappointed, left my dog bleeding

My dog had this a total of 2 minutes before she was both bleeding and the toy was becoming a choking hazard/ingestion hazard. I wish I checked the reviews as I usually do, but I was in stores and had no trouble with super chewer toys before. Some of which she's used for months every single day. The employee(s) at REI were super nice, and they said generally people didn't have an issue with this one. I wouldn't give this to your dog without monitoring it. If you notice it begins to break I'd take it from them immediately. Reached out to barkbox about the concerns with this specific toy.

Not for chewers, despite the name

My 1 year old Chihuahua mix tore this to shreds in under 24 hours. There are little pieces everywhere.

Misleading size - Hook Line is for SMALL dogs

The hook line and sinker is small. The pictures show it being played with by a German Shepard so I never questioned the size. But when I opened the box u was shocked to see it was size small for dogs 0-20lbs. There were no size options to choose from when ordering. I don’t think you should show it with a big dog if you are only offering size small. I see now that the specifcatio s have measurements but the product pictures are misleading.

My super chewer destroyed this toy in minutes

For a toy that was marketed for a super chewer it was short lived. Within half an hour my 40 lb dog had broken off chunks of it.

Perfect for heavy chewers!

I have an older pitbull, who will literally destroy any toy I give him. After three weeks of heavy use it is still very intact, and his favorite toy! It is vanilla scented, which I was worried about, but he’s obsessed with it! Apparently dogs really like that smell. Could not recommend this toy enough and it’s a great price point!

false advertisement and lies on the package

My 40 lbs labradoodle is not a big chewer, but he shredded it within minutes, and I am sure he swallowed bits of it as well while at it. There was also blood on the toy, as some other reviewers also mentioned. Some dogs will get hurt, if not already. REI should pull this product from their stores.

Cute toy, but not for super chewers. I gave it to my pitbull to entertain him while I ate dinner. Within 15 minutes he was pulling pieces off of it. What's worse though, is that he was leaving brown drool on on the floor. On closer inspection, I realized that his mouth was bleeding. So I wouldn't recommend this for a dog who has a strong chew.

Not made for chewers, even though very dense it is easily chewed into small pieces.

High hopes, broken immediately

My frenchie is an aggressive chewer and will get through most of their toys, usually the thick hard ones are fine. This one was heavy enough and entertaining that I didn’t overthink it. It last him 2 minutes. Material breaks with enough tension. Not for aggressive chewers as promoted. A lot of potential with design. MONITOR WHEN GIVEN.
