Decent recreational tandem
We’ve taken this boat out two times thus far, and feel it is a good leisure kayak overall. It is heavy and slow to paddle on water, but then it is a substantial sized tandem with a wide hull, which aids primary stability at the cost of speed and range. If you are a small family, two adults and one kid, this works fine as something you could take for a leisurely day on the lake. If you are interested in serious touring kayaking I would look elsewhere, but if you need a “social boat” to hang around with family and friends this works well. It is heavy at 99lbs and something to keep in mind as well. I’ve also taken this kayak into the sea and although stable it was hard to control over the constant pounding of the waves. My suggestion is to stick with flat-water with this kayak. The reversible seats that can face each other and integrated coolers are great features we have enjoyed.
