Worked great!

I bought these for a cycling trip. It rained every day and these kept me warm and fairly dry. They repellled the rain but at times it was raining quite hard and they were soaked. Once it stopped raining they dried while on my body in about 30 minutes, seemed fast. Very pleased with these tights. The pad is very cushioned and was comfortable. I am 5"5" 108lbs I could have worn the smalls but I didn't like how tight they felt so I bought the mediums. They fit my thin legs fine, a little baggy behind the knees and a little gap at the waist. I still preferred these to the smalls. I'd recommend them but you may want to size up or try on in the store.

Great, if you have thin thighs

Pearl Izumi - what happened? Perfect length, would have been perfect fit in hips/waist but did they forget women have thighs? Could not get these up my thighs at all, almost a straight cut from calves to the start of the seat - I bike and exercise a lot, have muscle but not extremely large legs, and all my other Pearl wear fits great. Advice - go one size up! Will be returning these.

Great colors but uncomfortable fit

I wanted to love these, the colors are vibrant and beautiful. And the chamois felt comfortable enough for me to feel I could wear them for longer rides. Unfortunately the other reviewers are correct that the fit felt very odd and uncomfortable. I'm typically a size M and purchased both M and L based on reviews. I eventually settled on M, but while the thighs fit comfortably, the bottom of the legs was oddly tight. The waist fit okay, but just walking around I felt them slipping down. I also really felt the seams though flat were very thick and uncomfortable. I returned them.

medium fits fine but dohave to adjust waist/crotch

I thought they fit fine, medium, 5'3" 138 lbs. usually size 8 pants petite for length. but I do find myself pulling up the waist or adjusting the seat pad. It feels like a Kotex pad and keeps sliding down inside of my thigh/crotch. I do have thicker legs than most white women. Am asian from so more peasant build for the farms.

Sizing and cut are way off

Based on the size chart I should be a medium. Based on reviews I bought a large. I could not get the large over my thighs. I tried an XL and the waist was literally huge. I'm really not sure who these were designed for, but it does not seem to be for women or anyone with quads.

Comfort and style and I feel more sun protection

Finally, a choice of something longer beyond bike shorts—that I really like! Years of riding in shorts where I forgot to put on sun protection, or I sweat it off, led to a nice big excision of questionable sun damage (actually squamous cell skin cancer) both above one knee and on the calf of the other leg. Two excision surgeries. And one long one beside my nose where I must’ve consistently either neglected to apply the SPF or sweat it off. I use the non-chemical sun protection (mineral/zinc oxide) and I need to use more and apply more liberally. The description for these tights does not say they specifically have sun protection, but they are thick and tightly woven enough to be so, IMO. I threw the tag away, I wonder if it said something about SPF on it? All that is to say Pearl Izumi hit it out of the park with these leggings.

Sizes run small

If you don’t know Pearl Izumi clothes run small. So I bought a M which was very tiny, then I settled on a L. Fits well. So either I’m fooling myself and I’m now a L or Pearl Izumi runs small. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Other than that works excellently on a bike ride.
