A sleek, minimalist bottle cage.
On my original flat-bar bike, I had another REI water bottle cage mounted to it. When I upgraded to my current steel gravel bike, the frame is much smaller and more elegant, so I wanted a slightly nicer bottle cage to mount. I chose this one because of its stainless steel look and minimal lines. I attempted to test it out in the store first, trying to mount / remove my REI water-bottle to get a sense of feel. I felt reasonably confident it wouldn't cause any issues when properly mounted to a bike frame. Indeed, this cage is a great addition - the water bottle doesn't rattle and is held securely, this looks nice, and I have no issues sliding my bottle in or out while stationary or riding. It does everything I'd expect from a water bottle cage.
Not the cheap King Cage you're hoping for
If you're here looking for a cheaper King Cage, this one probably won't satisfy you. On mine the hold isn't great, bottles have both lateral and vertical wiggle room. I can bend the cage to hold better, but the weld on mine wasn't fully closed so it's stressing that smaller weld as well as scratching the bottle.
Great value stainless steel cage
This is a great value for its elegant look and steel construction. Most stainless steel cages out there are twice or three times as expansive as this one. Yet steel cages is nothing advanced but style. It's good as long as it looks good.
