The best sock I found for running marathons and long runs
I use these on long runs and then tried them on my last marathon. Tried smart wool, plain cotton, features and some other brands. These socks didn't rub, chaff and cause blisters like the others. Some of the brands like features put their toe seem on the side. This seem bunches at a single point and for me after 10 miles or so digs in to the side of my big toe this causeing blisters and raw skin. I didn't have any hotspots from uneven seems with these ghost lites. They also work well in heat. The marathon finished with a temperature in the low 90s. I wasn't sloshing around in my own sweat like I've experienced with cotton socks.
Sizing is great!
I liked they’re sized in a short range, making for a better fit. I’d like for them to have less Stitching but they fit great and are nice to walk around in without shoes.
Big hole after less than THREE MONTHS
I purchased these and in less than three months, big hole! Unhappy with purchase. I am not an avid runner, maybe a few miles every few days so this was a quality issue.
Kept the socks, but they are not super light. Dry quickly yet not featherweight. Must be the padding. They do show.
Sock has a hole already
My sock already has a hole and it’s on the top of the sock. I’ve worn them once. 😞
Buy!
These are the best running socks I’ve ever used.
I found my brand after a long search!
For years I have been looking for a women's running sock in size large! The only choices are typically one-size fits all, or only smalls and mediums. My shoe size ranges from 10 to 11 depending on the brand, so I need a size large sock. They shrink a bit after washing but are still fairly easy to put on. The shrinking mainly affects the ankle part of the sock, making it somewhat tight, which is the only negative. I also appreciate the thinner fabric for summer weather.
Awesome cotton feel that retains stretch
Best socks ever! This is the second time I've owned Brooks socks, and I'm convinced that they are the best. The fabric has an awesome cotton feel, and has enough stretch for easy on and off, but is not overly stretchy. My first pairs are over 3 years old and have never lost shape. I'll be honest and say I bought my current pairs because they were majorly on sale, but if (?) these ever wear out I won't hesitate to buy more regardless (almost!) of price.
Socks sizing chart suggestion
Socks are comfortable but run a little small. I followed the size chart which said that my shoe size (6.5) falls under Small. But when the socks arrived, they feel a little too "stretchy" once i put my foot into it. I suggest showing overlapping sizes in the size chart, to show that you may be in between sizes (as in my case) and let the customers decide whether they want to go for a smaller (snug) fit or a larger size (for roomier feeling)
LOVE!
The sizing was accurate! I’m usually on the larger end of the size range, so other brands socks usually are barely too small or just too big if I go up. These fit very well. I like them so much I already ordered 2 new sets. The sale price (blue and white coloring) made it even better, but I think I’d also buy at full price! Saying a lot coming from a grad school budget where new running socks doesn’t usually fit!
