Ok minimal shoes, not durable

After 10 months as my third pair of shoes the soles are almost worn flat and the upper has started to fray. I ask for more from $80 shoes. When new they were fine--minimal, super flexible, lots of ground feel. Laces are a nice texture and never slip. These are fine for indoors and casual walking, but if I want to walk on hard surfaces fast enough to raise my pulse I need to change my gait to step gently or put on shoes with a thicker sole.

shoe me.

Flat foot with a wide square toe- I got along great with the trail glove 3/4 but the most recent trail gloves don't fit appropriately. This vapor glove has a similar fit to the old trail glove- For me, it's a decent replacment while they last. Arch support isn't too optrusive if there is any. This is more of a comment about the fit- my trail gloves would give me a couple years before they got too nasty or beat up to be worn, I expect the same from the vapor glove. For more context: Foot is about 290mm long, I wear a US13. Can't wear altras, the toe box doesn't work for some reason and the arch support is brutal. Freet shoes in size 13 are great but the soles show plenty of wear after a season of use (everyday casual and work shoes). Freet shoes are higher volume, so they're a bit floppy on me. Vivobarefoot don't have a square enough toe. Softstar primal are wide enough in the toe, but the regular aren't.

Light but comfortable for walking/short running

The shoes are light but comfortable, rather narrow than wide, which worked well for me. I hope the canvas material will prove durable.

Zero padding for feet

Big disappointment. There is no shock absorption on this shoe. I wouldn't even want to wear it around the house, much less running on a rocky trail... you would damage your heels for sure. Unwearable for me. Could have been a great shoe if they'd put even minimal cushioning (like Converse or even boating shoes). Too bad.
