Overall, the Nemo Tempo is a solid sleeping bag - so far I have primarily used it for car camping and will likely keep it that way due to the weight/size. It does pack down well with the included compression sack, but it’s relatively heavy and takes up quite a bit of room for backpacking. For car camping, it is a lovely bag and incredibly comfortable for side sleepers like me with the roomier design. I’ve used it down to 40F and was comfortable - I’d likely feel comfortable with temps down to 30F in this bag without a liner. We did have one night where it was in the mid-50s and this bag was a bit too toasty for that. The zipper has yet to snag, and the included pillow stuff sack is awesome (especially in situations where you forget your camp pillow and resort to stuffing your clothes in there). I also did like the extra fluffy collar that made me feel a bit more comfortable than wearing a neck gaiter. There is also the option to make this a double sleeping bag by purchasing the men’s version of the bag and zipping together, which is a nice feature although I do wish there was a way to design it so you could connect two women’s sleeping bags (as I’m usually camping with another woman 95% of the time). Overall, it is a really solid bag and I would recommend for car camping or short backpacking trips in colder weather.
I love this bag! It's thick and cushy for winter, but also cushy for summer use without a pad. I'm a little overly sensitive and will still also use a sleeping pad, but I think a lot of folks wouldn't even need it. I love that you can practically fully cocoon yourself within this bag and that it has a hood. For summer, I'll mostly be sleeping on top but can't wait to use this as the fall cools down. I also love the smaller bag to pack. I also enjoy that it had more fun color options. I get utilitarian colors, but I like my outdoor gear to have pops of color.
After weeks of sunny high temperatures, I was a little disappointed to see that the weather forecast for my camping trip was cloudy with showers and low temps in the evening. Lucky for me, I had my Nemo Women's Tempo 20 Synthetic Sleeping Bag to sleep in at night! Even though I was camping lakeside, with breezes and wind coming off the lake, the Nemo bag kept me very warm. Because this was summer camping, I didn't need to keep my head completely covered, but I can imagine that this would be a great feature in colder weather and that it would definitely keep you warm when temperatures dip. While sleeping I had plenty of room and I never felt constricted with movement throughout the night. When it was time to head back home, packing it back into the compression bag for travel was simple. I highly recommend this sleeping bag for comfort, ease, and warmth. I love everything Nemo makes - this sleeping bag included!!
I love this sleeping bag! I don’t normally like mummy bags as I’m a stomach sleeper and needs space, but the cut and fabric of this one worked for me. I have tried so many bags so this was very exciting. The extras that this bag offer really makes it my current favorite. We went camping near the beach recently and it was windy and chilly (mid to low 40s at night). I was very warm in this bag and then some. The zipper allows you to vent your feet and I was able to find the perfect temperature. It was easy to get it open and closed. I’m also not the most quiet sleeper and tend to flop around quite a bit (according to my husband). I often roll right off my pad but with this bag, and all of my flopping, I was able to move and still stay put on my pad due to the material of this bag. This is exciting! I’m usually moving myself back onto my pad many times at night. The material of this bag is great also. It feels very well made and high quality. Sometimes bags make your hair full of static, or it kind of sticks to you…but this one felt very comfortable and it didn’t cause static. It was nice climbing in and feeling…ahh…this actually feels good! It is very light and fluffy, but also very warm. This sleeping bag has a special head area that you can tuck your pillow (or clothes or whatever you’re using as a pillow) and it stays put! I loved that it was deep enough to actually keep my pillow and clothes where I wanted them. Yes, several of my other bags also have this nook, but in general they don’t really work well, as the area isn’t spacious enough - the Nemo does it right! There is also a pocket inside by your head/pillow for your important things. Finally, this bag includes a stuff sack and a storage bag. I love when companies just include these necessities so I don’t have to buy more things that may or may not work later. These are both very nice and work well. I’m including pictures of the storage bag and the stuff sack. I think this bag is worth every penny and you will be very comfortable.
I really like this sleeping bag! I was excited to get it because I'm a side sleeper, and the bag is designed for side sleepers. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to fully test that feature yet, as it's been an unusually warm summer and this bag has been open up to my waist/knees most of the time. The fabric unfortunately feels a bit sticky/plasticky to the touch, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend for warmer weather, even fully unzipped. I like how roomy the bag feels, I feel like I can actually move around and not feel restricted, compared to typical mummy bags. Another plus is the draft muffler - it's so soft and cozy feeling, which is true in general for the bag. It has a really nice warm, fluffy feel to it and the hood of the bag is a nice wrap around warmth, without feeling suffocating. I think this bag will be great when it does eventually cool off!
I camped with this sleeping bag in Capitol Reef in 15 degree (F) weather and snow. I took other measures to be dressed warm and ready for the night but this bag was defintely helpful with staying warm. It is wide enough for side sleepers but the extra blaket part at the top can be a little jarring when waking up in the middle of the night.
This was my first quality sleeping bag and I basically only have positive things to say! I love the shape of this because it's a less claustrophobic than a standard mummy style bag since it's made for side sleepers. I like the extra space at the bottom so you're able to comfortably sleep on your back as well. I am 5'4.5" and weigh about 160lbs. I found it very comfortable. I tent camped in the mountains at 55°F and was comfortable in a T-shirt, shorts, and ankle socks. I also tent camped on a 40°F rainy night and was cozy with wool socks, fleece lined leggings, and a long-sleeved cotton shirt. I only woke up once to add a basic pullover fleece and a standard beanie. The hood of the sleeping bag was perfectly warm until about 2-3am. I was also able to stuff my own camping pillow into the hood and it still be functional. My only beef is that I wish the left side had a zipper as well since it's hard to reach when sleeping on your left side. I would still recommend it to anyone.
I'm a side sleeper and this has been comfortable for me! The zipper catches though. Still pretty great for my first sleeping bag.
I motorcycle camp in the PNW, and stretching out is important. All of the FAAB riders that I talk to rave about Nemo sleeping bags. This bag has just enough room to move around, but still retain added warmth. My previous bag was a traditional mummy-style; having to keep one position all night gave me back and hip pain. This has fixed that. I wake up feeling refreshed!
Read the fine print! This should not be sold as ‘Regular’ size! It should be labeled and sold as ‘Small/ Petite.’ When I got the bag, the tags on the bag clearly displayed that the max person height is 5’6”. This is not displayed clearly on the website. It is also very small inside- it advertises itself as roomy cut- but what it does not say is that it is extremely small in circumference. Who cares what the cut is if you can’t actually zip yourself in?
