I like some features of this handheld flask
When i deciding to buy this camelbak quick stow flask, I was trying get good hydration like bladder for quick drink of water. I thought it would be quick alternative for wearing backpack with a hydration bladder. What I like about this is the bite valve with anti leak twist valve. I also like that you can fill from the top. The thing I also like is zipper pocket for my wallet or cards. The front of this handheld flask has hidden sleeve pocket for keys. My only issue is 17oz bladder too small. If camelbak decide to make bigger standard gel bladder that would be awesome. I know it designed for active runners, but more capacity to store water would be great.
Great handheld water bottle.
I bought this like two months ago and so far it's held up pretty well. Pros: handheld straps are stretchable. Opening is big enough for a small ice cube and will hold two and 15 oz of water fine but I found putting over that and it spills out past the seals. Cons: non really other than the size is a tad small. I'd probably knowing what I know now go for a bigger fluid oz bottle.
no instructions/wont work
I bought this product and was excited about it as I like to run with my own hydration with me. However, I can't find instructions as to how it works and I can't get mine to work consistently or at all. On a run this past weekend, I just unscrewed the top as I spent more energy trying to suck it out of the top lol. So, I would call it very overpriced.
Great gift
Bought this as a gift fand it was perfect.
Using the Ultra 17 oz.
I really like this piece... 1. The straps allow for a variety of positional arrangements of the fingers while on either hand and for easy on/off and switching to the other hand. 2. I appreciate the safety features of the reflective trim. 3. I like the zipper pouch for ID, Money or my Glucose Monitor. 4: I like the capacity, and the fact that it can serve as a practical weight to provide a small amount of strength training, particularly for longer runs & races. What I would I like to see improved in future generations (while keeping the features above): 1. A slightly smaller plastic "frame", at the top of the flask to make it easier to get into pockets on your running packs/vests. 2. A way to rotate the flask 90 degrees (in either direction) within the sleeve (and for the shapes to work together to be able to hold the flask in that rotated position, but flexible enough to be able to change it fairly easily. My challenge is frozen shoulder - I can only lift my arms to about 90 degrees (straight out to the sides from my shoulders). Rotating the flask within the sleeve helps me use the whole unit in a way that is less painful for me. In response to the previous review about not being able to get it to work, I recommend the following... 1. After filling the flask, screw the top on carefully (and over a sink), making sure that the threads on the cap are properly and fully seated on the threads of the flask. Sometimes the sleeve with the the zipper pouch can get in the way of the top being screwed on completely. To fix this problem, loosed the elastic cord from the sleeve so it is not tight around the throat/mouth of the flask to complete the attachment of the top, then re-tighten the elastic cord of the sleeve. 2. Make sure to twist the pair of blue pointers, at the base of the bite valve, so that one is pointing at the outline of the water drop - that is the "open" position, enabling you to drink. The other end of that range - the outlined drop with a line through it is the "closed" position. 3. With the valve in the Open position, put the bite valve in your mouth. Then turn the whole flask upside-down, keeping the flask's bite valve in your mouth the whole time. Next (and with the bite valve still in your mouth), bite gently on the valve. You should feel the water begin to fill your mouth. 4. To stop the flow of the liquid, simply release the bite from the valve. I would be happy to test any future products, particularly those intended for your running line.
