Good but not perfect
I have been buying the feedback flannel for many years at least 8, over the years I have been seeing changes some good some to make it cheaper to produce. I liked the old pocket design because I could put my phone in that pocket and it was easy to put in and take out, however I do like the look with the new pocket design it equals out the two sides and I prefer that. The old designs shoulder pad/ double material came down over the shoulders close to the pocket that gave it a unique look but limited you being able to embroider a logo there, the new design opens the chest up more for logos above the pocket for businesses and I like that. The new design has a larger outdoor research tag on the pocket and that bugs me, in the past the tag was smaller and blended in with the colors, now it pops out more and I do not care for the look. Over the years they have taken away the OR embroidery on the back shoulder blade, in my opinion to cheapen the production cost. They have also gone away from the metal looking buttons to more of a basic plastic button and the button holes are pretty tight. This year one of the buttons on the arm is a different size so you get two different size buttons as spares, all being the same was nice so you could steal a button from there if you needed to. Overall the feedback flannel is still a nice flannel but the price has gone up significantly even though I feel the changes that have been made are to cheapen production. Also seams like they changed the design so they can make this their primary selling flannel. I miss the Sandpoint flannel, that one fit great. Pros Lager chest area for logos More color options Double pocket flaps Softer than many years ago( will see how it holds up to my 8 year old ones) Cons I feel like the fit has loosened(more baggy) over the years Buttons are not as nice and button holes are tight Has lost the OR embroidery on the back shoulder over the years Two button sizes on arms now Tag on the pocket Price
Very comfortable, good looking flannel
Shirt is very soft and fits well. I have very muscular shoulders and arms and often find that the sleeves of shirts that fit my chest comfortably end up being too snug in the arms. This shirt fits well without being overly baggy. My only minor complaint is that the cuff button holes are very tight compared to other shirts I own making them a bit difficult to fasten or undo. I’ve had a chance to run the shirt through the laundry a couple of times thus far and there’s been no sign of shrinking.
Fantastic Flannels!
I have eight feedback flannels from OR and I love every one of them. The fabric is soft and durable. Temps in the 40s-50s you really don't need a jacket, because these do a good job of keeping you warm. I do run warm though. I constantly get compliments at work on the shirts. If I were to say anything negative, it would be that the older style with the metal buttons were nicer. The new buttons are thicker and harder to button. I'm sure they'll break in eventually though.

Tighter Fit Than Previous Version
I wear the XXL in most all OR stuff, and loved the fit of the previous version, but didn't love the asymmetric pocket design. Was excited to see the pockets update, only to order a few and realize that this vintage is more regular fit than relaxed fit. The XXL about 1-2" smaller across the chest and belly. Seems like a XXL fit for the unicorn muscle-bound big guys with tapered waists. Other than that, excellent quality and great fabric... I really wanted to love it.
Look no further!!
Wow is all I can say, what a fantastic shirt. I'm 6'3" 200lbs and ordered the XL, great fit as I need the longer arm length. This shirt is so unbelievably soft and truly built to last. I opted to get the Pewter color (as I have a ton of plaid) and am glad I did, awesome color that goes with pretty much anything you decide to wear. Been a cooler spring here so hope to get more wear before it heats up. Chalk it up to yet another great OR piece, very happy with it.
Excellent Quality Shirt as you would expect from OR
Outdoor Research makes quality gear. The Men's Feedback Flannel Twill Shirt is a classic flannel shirt with a little more attention to detail than most shirts of its kind. Worn over a T-shirt and under a waterproof jacket, this shirt will keep you warm and dry in most conditions down to the upper 20s. This 100% polyester shirt is more comfortable to work in than the equivalent heavier wool shirts, but it's not an extreme cold weather shirt. I bought one last year and a second one this year. Personally, I prefer the new chest pockets on this year's shirt. If you're looking for a heavy flannel shirt that wears like iron but won't cook you while you work - the Men's Feedback Flannel Twill Shirt may be the right choice. In my experience, they run true to size. Yes, these shirts are not cheap, but they are worth it. I highly recommend them.
More than one
I own three of these, and absolutely love them. The fit and finish are fantastic. Soft but durable material, great pocket design, quality all the way around. Pay close attention to the care instructions, and keep in mind, because they are full synthetic, they will have a tendency to hold smell, so material specific detergents can help a lot. I’m a big fan of these shirts, and the wife thinks they look as good as I think they feel.

The Feedback Flannel Twill shirt is very comfortable, fits well, and looks great. I'm 5'6" with broad shoulders and a short torso - I have a tough time finding flannels that fit me right. They tend to be either too long or too tight across the chest. This shirt fits very well and the fabric is incredibly soft. The only thing I don't love is that the back isn't pleated, so the shirt doesn't "give" as much as I like.

So awesome I bought eight!
Fabric is soft and the thickness is perfect. It’s not as thin as a cheap flannel and not as thick as the heavier flannel that Patagonia sells. These are right in between. I bought eight of them. Four in a “solid” color and four plaid. I alternate them every day of the week in fall, winter and early spring. If more colors/patterns come out I’ll get more. As of right now though; eight is just fine.
Feedback feedback.
I love these flannels and have been buying them for the past few years. I think I'm up to a dozen different colors and wear them nearly everyday. The cut on the most recent is a bit different as well as the pockets and buttons. They're still fantastic but I found the open left pocket and metal buttons better. Will continue to buy them and highly recommend others try them for a great quality flannel.
