Looks like a cheap moving blanket

I wear Smartwool products 365 days a year (obviously a fan). Unfortunately something went terribly wrong with this one. The product is not as pictured. The picture shows a nicely woven product. What I received looks like one of those cheap moving blankets that they attempted to sewn into a shirt. Sad and disappointing.

Very uncomfortable blended material.

Although this seems to be very warm, it was not at all what I was expecting. Most SmartWool products are very soft and 100% Merino wool. This one was actually just a blend and was the most scratchy and uncomfortable material I have ever attempted to wear. I returned it immediately. Guess I will just stick to their base layers…

Nice color, fabric is scratchy, not well tailored

I did not like this and returned it. The fabric was scratchy and reminded me of an old camp blanket. The fabric was also stiff and not well tailored, not much shape to it. There is no lining and I could not wear it with a short sleeve shirt underneath because of the scratchiness. It's also only 50% wool. I like the idea of recycled wool but it's no use if it's not comfortable to wear.

close fitting and warm!

i'm ~200, 5'9". 42" chest and a little bit of a "dad bod" :-D, ordered a size-L; it's a little tight in the body, good sleeve length. high quality material, but pills a lot :-/ fabric is an interesting feeling combination of a fleece and a wool sweater, but the warmth is definitely more sweaterly. i prefer to pack-light when travelling and will take this with me as a mid-layer on an upcoming winter trip as a "flying layer".

Barely unwrapped it. Save your time

I put this shabby looking item right back in the box to return. Looks nothing like the misleading picture on the website. Color is gray, but shiny, texture is rough and shape is odd. Knit is way looser than the photo portrays Shame on you guys for selling an item of this poor quality...

Go-to for comfort

Great to wear around the house when it's chilly or outside without a breeze. It also layers super well under a soft-shell. I get more wear out of this than literally any sweater I own, and I wear sweaters a lot. I chose to leave a review because I scrolled past and happen to be wearing it. Not pleased with how much it pills, but I sure am enjoying it while it lasts. Have owned for over a year, still going strong.

Looks good but...

Fabric is very prone to pilling and it was actually much heavier than expected from the photos.

Smartwool is great

Smartwool makes great products; this is another one, but I was looking for something thinner. This is a thick pile sweater
