Kecewa

Great battery life

Perfect sizing on 2S. I can't imagine going with regular size as it would be too large. Battery life is awesome! Very user friendly. Could use better protection on lower side of face as I'm pretty rough with it and already starting to wear but, to be expected. Overall pretty happy with this purchase and would recommend it.

Great product, insanely durable.

I only ever take this off when I shower and that's just to charge it. Only charging while showering keeps the watch charged all the time. I have worn it while rock climbing, hiking, mountain biking, scuba diving, etc for around 2 years. There are some scratches around the face on the plastic, but not a single scratch on the screen. I dove to 60+ ft with no issues at all. It's great for gps tracking and finding your way home. If you try to continuously track a multi day backpacking trip the battery will run out but I have tracked a marathon for 5 hours and had plenty of battery left at the end. Great product, I can't recommend it enough.

Still Making Up My Mind

I have used only the basic functions of the watch, but they seem to work well. I like the Garmin Connect app that shows useful (and colorful) summaries of my walks and heart function. I have found the four buttons on the watch somewhat confusing, but I'm slowly getting used to them and may eventually even figure out how to access functions I am interested in. I printed out the 116-page user manual in the hope of finding those functions. Garmin crams many features into this watch, and, for me, they have come at the expense of a friendly user interface. I will have to train myself further before I am happy with this watch.

Great Features/great battery

I bought this a month ago and WOW I’m impressed! I was a little worried not going the solar route bc of battery life with this 2. But with 21 days of battery, what more can you ask for? If you aren’t without electricity I think this watch is perfect for you. It takes an hour, maybe 2 to fully charge back up and even with my busy schedule I have easily been able to find time to recharge my watch for the next 21 days! This watch truly has every feature you could ask for. From heart rate, to endless activities to choose from, even to the accuracy of its sleep score tracking…this watch has everything you could need! Very durable as well. Love it and highly recommend.

The best watch you can buy!

I love this watch. I had the original instinct watch and it lasted me 4 years! The new instinct 2S has amazing features and many upgrades. I love that there are different size screens to pick from and being a smaller lady I love that I got a smaller screen as it feels less like I have a watch on 24/7. I would highly recommend this watch to anyone but especially those that work in a rugged job or have rough and tough hobbies. This watch has withstood many different things and holds up every time!

Very useful, some features don't work well

Most of the functions are useful and the connect graphs are helpful. Sleep doesn't register Rem, light, and awake well; but is a good estimate. There are too many categories for workouts and they repeat in multiple sections. The new connect dashboard is less useful than the one recently updated. It is a well fit, durable, and reliable watch. Most complaints are with the lack of ability fix records that are missing data; weight lifting tracking, type of yoga, and biking. Biking needs an extra purchase to gain necessary stats. If the old dashboard returned and the option to record Reps, Sets, and weight for Strength Training post session, it would be highly recommended.

This is watch is everything I need. It is the most simple and minimalist Garmin watch. I use it for connecting to strava on bikes rides and runs. I would recommend this for anyone who wants something simple but still had all the common capabilities or just wants a watch to track yourself on strava. There are a few cons - this is not the watch for you if you if you want maps connectivity. I would get a edge compyter for that if cycling. I wasn't looking for that feature tho but I know some may be! The smaller wrist size watch also only last 21 days - although mine dies faster than that with tracking rides and workouts. It realistically is about a week battery life with it tracking me.

INSTINCT 2S REVIEW

I have had the Instinct 2S for about 2 weeks now. I am pleased with it in every aspect. It would be nice if it has some color in the display, but other than that I have no suggestions. It is highly customizable to your personal tastes. I like that it is controlled by buttons rather than a touch display. This watch replaced Vivoactive 3 and you could often accidentally touch the face and go to sections accidentally. You could never take it off and put it in your pocket or it change all kinds of configurations. You give up a little bit or readability with the smaller face, but if you have a smaller wrist it fits better than the larger face watches. Overall I give it a 9-10 so far.

Love that I made the change!

This is my 3rd Garmin, and I've loved everyone! The Instinct2S was a big change as I was coming from the VivoActive, a slim fit device. As a trail hiker, the 6 hour limit on my Vivo just wasn't enough. I find the S fit perfect for my petite wrists. And because the Vivo has no side buttons, I was hesitant at first as my wrists can get angled with my hikes. To date, no issues of accidental pressing, the buttons are slim. I find the Instinct2S light and non-bulky. Set up was simple and love the fitness features that I had never had before. I went with Poppy, love it, an early holiday present to me!
