This is pretty light weight. I use it as a liner under my hard hat, and also, for daily wear here in this chilly climate.
It's a good, fleece beanie
I think the one potentially useful data point I can add here is that I've got a pretty big head, and this hat is great. Soft fleece. Nice and warm. Easy to stuff away once you've warmed up. If you're looking for a straightforward beanie, I think this one's a good call.
OR does it again
I'm a bald guy so I wear a hat pretty much everywhere except in bed. I bought this hat more for outdoor activities but it has become my go to for everything. I lost my first one on the subway and ordered another one as soon as I realized in had fallen out of my pocket. I hope whoever got the first one is enjoying it as much as I do!

Really warm hat. Stays put in high winds too. Very happy with its performance in windy -10F mountain conditions.

Best beanie ever
I’ve had too many winter beanies to count, but this is definitely the best. It’s soft and warm, and it fits and feels great. I have a larger than average size head, and most beanies are one size fits all and so are often uncomfortably small. This beanie comes in two sizes, and the L/XL is perfect for me.
exceptional wicking, excellent warmth, very soft
Currently worn under my helmet for winter mountain biking. Exceptional wicking, excellent warmth, excellent comfort (very soft). This is my favorite winter hat. I have a large noggin and this works great. I have to seek out L or XL winter hats and this works great.
Great for fall
This is a pretty good mid-weight beanie for fall camping, warmer winter days/days where there isn't a lot of wind. It's somewhat thin, but the waffle texture makes it pretty warm regardless. Overall quite happy with it!
stiff fabric
hat is not flexible so the size must be pretty close to head size. Given that there are only two sizes, ones head must be pretty close to those sizes for it to fit. Everyone else it will not fit well.
Cozy Beanie
Be sure to check the sizing before buying this beanie! I assumed the smaller size was meant for women but definitely check the measurements before you purchase. This beanie was snug and cozy but tended to slip off during my longer runs. When it did stay on, it would get uncomfortably tight. Taking it as extra layer when walking or hiking was no problem. I love Outdoor Research's Trail Mix material and it was the main draw when purchasing this.
