Way too tall for us shorter women

This updated back ventilation system was exactly what I was looking for. I am 5'3, 120 lb. But by time I adjusted the pack to my torso length (great feature!), the pack was sticking up past my shoulders by at least 3" and hitting the back of my head. Unfortunately, that does not work for us who are on the shorter side. Osprey, please make a shorter version of this! Thank you.

Excellent day pack

I love this daypack. It’s the perfect fit & incredibly comfortable. The first day I wore it was for a 15 mile hike and the vent between my back and the pack was exactly why I bought it. My back did not sweat due to friction of a pack sitting directly on it therefore my clothes were able to breath and I was neither cold ir hot due to discomfort of backpack. There is plenty if room I had a rain jacket, hat, mittens, first aid kit, 1,500 liter of H2O, lunch, snacks, a second pair of socks, shirt, liner and Was still quite comfortable. The pack is not heavy so carrying all my hiking essentials for a long day was quite comfortable. I recommend this pack for any hiker. Just the right amount of compartments too.

Still perfect after 6 years

I've had this model backpack for over 6 years (bought in 2018) and it is truly the best backpack. I was recently taking a closer look at it and it has held up incredibly well for a bag that has been on hundreds of hikes. I have worn this backpack while butt sliding down rocks, in the snow, rain, wind and sun and it looks like it will hold up for another 6 years. Its the perfect size for any length day hike. Lots of little pockets to keep things organized and fits a ton.

Almost perfect, but...

I love everything about this backpack, maybe not the weight but I can overcome that. The singular issue that had me returning this pack was the torso adjustment function. the way the shoulder pads are attached to the adjustment harness leaves hard areas that stick out away from the pack and dig into your shoulder blades. Once you put any kind of weight into the pack, after about a mile of walking with 14 pounds I ended up with achy sore shoulder blades. I own several other Osprey packs including two backpacks And none of them have this kind of issue. Although I probably could learn to live with it, for this amount of money I want something that is comfortable out of the gate.

Wonderful all around backpack

Have been using this backpack since 2018 for all my hikes (even a multi day hut to hut tour) and after years of abuse, it's still holding up really well (I can definitely get another 6 years). It was the first ever "outdoor" backpack I bought when I first started getting into hiking, camping, etc and its versatility has never disappointed -- I even use it for climbing trips. Lots of pockets, the ventilated backside is very comfortable, and the rain cover has proven useful many times. Fits underneath airplane seats as well. Sometimes I wish it were a bit bigger, but that also forces me to be more thoughtful when packing things.

best daypack ever

I have an older color of this day pack, and soon will have this one too. It is so great hiking in the heat with it because of the air between your pack and your back. In the winter, I do not notice being any colder either. The structure of the pack allows me to carry quite a bit of weight and not even notice it. Very comfortable. A few issues: The side pockets are not big enough for a phone, the pockets take a little effort to pull out and replace a water bottle, although it has room for a bladder, and finally, it takes a bit of creativity to attach snowshoes to the pack.

Great Day Hiking Pack

This is my first Osprey pack. The shoulder pads and hip belt are extremely comfortable, lots of ways to customize the fit. I really like how many smaller pockets are available for putting things in. As well as, easy access to the stash pockets. The panel loading deep pocket fits what I need for day hikes. It's sturdy and nimble feeling, it vents really well, and the integrated raincover is a very nice touch that I've used frequently. It's easy to get the hydration pack in and out. I did purchase the magnetic Osprey Sternum Strap Hydration Kit, because this is a feature I like and use. I was surprised it wasn't included. Side note the kit is easy to add onto the sternum strap.

Good for tall people

Used for day hikes. Lots of room for planing sunny or rainy weather. Made a great hike to Mt St Helen’s. However the bungee for trekking poles broke first time using. Very disappointed. I use them for every hike. Need to see about replacement.

ALMOST Perfect but MAJOR Flaw!

I had been eyeing this backpack for months and finally decided to buy it. After getting it fitted, I walked around the store, and it felt incredibly comfortable. However, when I got home and loaded it up for a hike, I encountered a problem. While wearing the pack, I tried to slip my iPhone 15 Pro into the hip pocket, only to realize that it didn't fit and was hitting the pack frame. I hadn't noticed this issue when I tested it with the pack off, where the phone fit perfectly. Unfortunately, this design flaw led me to return the pack and opt for the Mira 22, which has side pockets positioned outside the frame. I'm quite disappointed about this issue and flaw.

Perfection!

I have the 34L version of this pack for hauling gear on long day hikes during the winter, which I LOVE. I was in the market for a new daypack for summer (wasn’t crazy about the Gregory I had bought after using it for three seasons) and after trying a few models, found my way to this pack. It’s just like the 34L that I love for winter, just trimmed down a bit. The hip belt and shoulder straps are so comfy. The zippers are easy to pull. I can access the hip pocket zippers with one hand. The integrated rain cover is so handy. This is such a great size for a long day on the trail. This pack helps you carry the weight so comfortably!

Comfortable for my height

Really enjoy this pack. It can hold allot and is light. However the bungee to hold hiking poles broke the very first time I used them. I need to see if I can get it replaced. Other than that it did great for my Mt St Helen’s trip as I had to prep for sun and rain.
