First off this is a great looking jacket that is very light and seems to be well made for the price. Disclaimer I just received the jacket but just wanted to comment on all the reviews that say this jacket runs extremely small. If I had listened to all those reviews I would've gotten the wrong size. I generally am a size large with broader shoulders and a semi-athletic build at about 5' 10'' with the occasional odd ball large jacket being a bit big for me but usually a Large in about everything 99% of the time. Reading the reviews I kept going back and forth between getting a large or an extra large, however in the end I went with the large and I'm glad I did because it fits perfectly with even more room underneath for base layers than I thought I would have.

Relatively well made but ridiculously undersized.

I ordered this jacket because I am familiar with the Mountain Equipment brand and have been so impressed with their products quality. The jacket seemed to be well-built, however, size Medium, that I had purchased, was ridiculously small compared to jackets from other brands that I have (Patagonia, BD, NorthFace). I have now ordered size L and will see how that fits.

I like it (but haven't really used it yet...)

I have a light insulated Patagonia Nano Puff jacket, and an old TNF down jacket that is very warm. I got this jacket because I needed the "something in between" jacket. It just came today, so I haven't had a chance to even use it yet. I am writing primarily just to give info re sizing. I am about 5'11', and 170 lbs. I ordered the size Large, and it fits just right. It does seem a little snug around the armhole/shoulder area, but not a deal breaker. I also thought that 700 fill would be a little puffier, but I can't criticize it on that count, before I have even used it. Perhaps I'll update it to 5 stars if I end up really loving it.

A jacket you can live in! When it's cold...

Purchased partially with dividend funds which were very well spent! I thought I was getting this for next year but we had another cold snap here and for a while I lived in this jacket. It's very light, appears well built packs down very small and looks great. Only trouble I had is the sizing on this is a bit off from other jackets I have and I had to go one size up. If you are looking for something light but warm this is a great option.

Zipper

Just got the jacket. It's exactly what I need, great quality and looks good. The zipper pull is on the left side, I do not know if I will like it, because of that. :(

The zipper did not last long

Unfortunately the main zipper started breaking apart after a year of light use. I really liked the jack but the poor quality zipper has made the jacket useless. It is unfortunate that REI no longer has a good warranty, I rarely buy anything from them anymore.

Size is perfect and accurate. I feel as though I could layer up underneath perfectly fine. Great field of motion, great color and much warmth!
