HORRIBLE DESIGN

1. The packaging was ridiculous and extremely difficult to open. 2. To install the battery, the lock system broke the minute I tried to turn the clip to unlock... I never got into the compartment to see if the light worked! 3. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! REI should be ashamed to even have it stocked at the outlet! Fortunately they are great customer service people and will take it back... 4. There is a reason the internet has no instruction video for the product...it STINKS!

returned it

I read complaints about the battery cover breaking, and I thought I could avoid it since I was forewarned. Mine wouldn't budge, so I searched YouTube to make sure I was doing it right. It still broke. I returned it and brought a different one. Apparently some work and some don't. It wasn't worth it to me to keep trying with this brand and model.

Great head lamp

I had the old version for a number of years ordered two of these and love the improvements! The charging system is really easy to live with. Not a single thing I would change!

Could NOT rotate battery cover as shown in instructions or YouTube video. Soft plastic ended up splitting. Returning it.

Bright and Useful

Excellent for use in reading and precise jobs in the dark. The light automatically dims when the battery power gets low.

Nice simple light!

Great for me, easy to use. Two settings, uses one AA/14500 battery. Light and bright enough for these old eyes!
