Great jacket but size way too big

Got this jacket as a gift, it’s brand new. Never been worn, not once. Is it possible to switch for a size small please?

Quality, protection, price

I got the Tullus this time last year and it's my favorite jacket. I've taken it from mountaintops to museums and received compliments all along the way. This jacket provides great protection even when the wind is howling and fits perfectly to prevent a draft. I am 6'2" 195lb and love the way size Large hugs my body. And the light weight and packability make it the ideal ascent jacket. Starts on, then tucked in the bag, and back out to save the day on a cold summit. Or a killer extra sleep layer in a 0*F down bag half unzipped in the back country. Feels like sleeping in a summer cloud. But hey maybe it's just a great jacket for a good price. Either way..Good job Marmot as always.

Great lightweight!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Tullus jacket is a classic go-to lightweight layer for rock climbers, alpinists, and hikers alike. This minimalist jacket is ideal for clipping to a harness or tossing into a backpack - it compresses down to the size of a big deli sandwich, while still providing an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio. Although it doesn't have some of the cozy features that other jackets offer, it is an incredible workhorse piece that you can quickly toss on during a big adventure. It's perfect to wear on its own in the shoulder season or under a jacket in the colder months. Cute, versatile, and light, its wonderful for hiking, climbing, and alpine adventures.

Sheds like crazy!!!!

I love Marmot, but this purchase honestly worries me about their quality. The jacket sheds so much, my car seat is now covered in feathers, like hundreds of them. The jacket has no holes, it just leaks like a sieve. It is warm, and very lightweight, so those are good aspects of it. But I don't even want to wear it due to how much it sheds. The feathers don't come up with a lint roller either, so I have some work to do to get my car cleaned up now. The feathers have even gotten on my other wool jacket that I am now wearing. Very frustrating experience.

Decent Jacket. Sheds too much down insulation...

I have had this jacket for a month or so. I do really like this jacket. It keeps me warm while walking the dog, running errands around town etc. I also has a very nice, athletic fit. With that said, it sheds like crazy. I waited a month to see if the shedding was just a new coat issue, but unfortunately it is still shedding. At this rate, I'll probably lose half the insulation in it within the next year. Since this is my first Marmot jacket, I am a little disappointed with shedding issue. Fix the shedding issue and Marmot would have a winner.

Decent jacket

Bought this jacket for residency interviews in the northeast and Midwest during the winter time. It fulfills its purpose well: keeps you warm even in 20 degree weather. However, it leaves a lot to be desired as it sheds down feathers perpetually. I was wearing this over a navy suit and i was always completely covered in down feathers throughout my interviews. Despite this shortcoming, it’s a worthwhile purchase it on sale but couldn’t justify dropping $180 on a jacket that will likely lose all of its insulation within a year.

Cozy, warm and exceptionally light

First impression: This is so thin, light - will it be sufficient in a -2º weather ? Very soon when you are toasting inside, you would realize this is not only a solid performer, but also practically feels like one of those padded shirts and nothing more. Does not weigh you down with its bulk, but provides serious insulation from the elements. Very impressed with it. I really really wish it had a hood. Packing it is also easy since it is down based so it compresses well and does not occupy much space in your travel case.

Comfortable and warm

I havent truly tested this jacket in a really cold day, but its comfortable as can be and very warm in the conditions I've used it. I was a little worried about the color being too much but the light blue I got is very nice and not an obnoxious neon - I actually really like it. The neck on the jacket is very high, which I'm in favor of as I'll mostly use this for backpacking when I want to stay warm, but as an everyday jacket I could see that being a little annoying. Overall though I'm a huge fan of this jacket.
