Good pair of pants

I had a previous iteration of these pants that I bought about three years ago that I really put through the ringer. I patched them up and they lasted for a long time. Until they basically disintegrated. I just bought a new pair ( 2023 ) with the mesh pockets and I’ve had them for about a week. After just a few wears the stitching on the coin pocket has become loose. I noticed a few other reviews mentioning loose stitching. I will have it repaired and hopefully they’ll last as long as my previous pair but I didn’t expect this so soon for this price. My other issue with these pants is that they need to make size 31. There’s a huge difference between the 30 and 32. I had to size down but I hope they stretch out. They definitely seem tighter than my previous size 30s. Otherwise they are great pants that can be worn hiking or causally around town. They look great. The grey color can’t be beat. Please make in navy blue.

Incredible, versatile pants.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought all 3 original Colors. The black are my favourite. They fit pretty true to size, which is great because I find Arcteryx stuff is usually on the small side for me. The one thing I will say is that every colour fits differently because of the dyes and how the material stretches and shrinks. The black fits me the best by far. The khaki colour was way looser in the same size. Definitely takes some trial and error. I could’ve gone down a full size in the khaki color. But the pants are incredibly versatile, comfortable and generally all purpose. I’ve worn them to work, golfing, hiking etc. one of the best casual pants Arcteryx have ever made.

Could be great...but instead are quite bad

Like just about everything from Arc these days, quality, design and durability have plummeted. The reputation was gained from great, Vancouver built outerwear (I have owned many, and they used to be the best)...and is trashed by cheap, overseas, sub-par products that favor fashion over function, sold at huge markup. - Stitching is atrocious - Fabric, while light and stretchy...is fragile and looses its shape quickly - Fly is a joke...unusable because it is SO short - different colors fit significantly different (over an inch difference in inseam) - Inseam is long (34") despite being labeled as 'regular/32")

Very comfortable fit. Perfect for the office.

They are a casual look and fit but can be dressed up for the office, which is the main use for me. They are comfortable for air travel and the creases fall out easily on a hanger so great for business travel. The fit is very slim / athletic. I'm 5'10", 160lbs and the 30" regular length fit perfect. In other styles from Arcteryx I'm a 32 (Gamma Pants, Gamma Shorts) and a 30" in the Cronin Shorts. They do stretch and give a little after you wear them for a few hours of wear so I'm happy that I sized down. They wash and (hang) dry very easily, ready to go again. I bought a 2nd pair in the smoke bluff color. I would like Acrteryx to add in a size 31" as there's a gap between 30 and 32.

Low quality construction and materials

Sizing was right on and the fit is great, material feels great to wear in hot or cold conditions. The black sapphire colour is fading to purple on my pair as another reviewer had mentioned which is a MAJOR disappointment. Threads have come loose on the pockets. I've never seen a pair of pants degrade so quickly with casual use. I've only worn around the city and to the office. Less than 6 months is not acceptable given the price point. I've had some arcteryx products for over 15 years and are still going strong. Black sapphire should be avoided unless purple pants are what you're looking for.

Great looking and feeling pants!

I got these pants for work and for nights out. These are the best pants/jeans that are comparable to the fit of a Levi's 511 with a comfortable 4 Way Stretch fabric and a bit more length on the inseam. With that being said, as a person who is 5'7 wearing a 36 waist, my legs are a bit short so the pant does bunch up at the end of my ankles. Luckily I know a great friend who knows how to cut/sew and was able to match them perfectly to my liking. I wish Arc'teryx would make a shorter inseam just like for their Gamma LTs and Beta Pants. Besides that, I highly recommend grabbing a pair or 2.

My Casual Pants

I do the things. I am an outdoor professional (climbing guide). But these particular pants I wear around town. So I have not climbed in them. That being said they have worn very well. I have several pairs. One is about a year old and still looks brand new. Probably not the review you are looking for but it survived many a great meal (grease washes out easily -unlike other materials), a punk rock moshpit where I continually got shoved to the ground and even walked on) and everything else life has thrown at me recently. High quality and I get compliments on them regularly.

Great pants but not the best construction

I really like these pants. So much I've purchased four of them. They fit great and are super comfy with a lot of stretch without looking weird. I think they look almost like canvas chinos but have way more functionality. They're also really waterproof. I've spilled a whol glass of water on myself at lunch and was dry by the time I got back to work 30 minutes later. Unfortunately, I've seen an issue with the stitching on the fly coming undone. It doesn't actually effect the function but it doesn't look great and it's hard to fix because there's so many layers of fabric there.

Slim Fit and Stretchy

I needed a new pair of pants for climbing and daily use, so I decided to go with these pants despite not being able to try them in person. These are so comfortable and stretchy, the waist is the perfect size, and the material looks like it can handle abrasions on the rock and in the gym. They are like a slim straight fit, not skinny, but not too baggy; just tapered enough to provide a modern fit. My only issue was that the regular was really long so being 5' 4" I had to tailor them myself to get a perfect size. These are now my favorite pants and I am so glad with my purchase.

Inconsistent sizing and fabric

I previously purchased the Levon Pant, (ultra light) size 36". They fit perfectly! The material was light, comfortable, and a pleasure to wear. However, this purchase, (Levon Pant) the material was super heavy and the fit was completely different. I couldn't even button them up. I can understand a slight difference in fit, but these pants were way too tight. I also have a few pair of the Gamma Pants, size 36" which fit perfectly, so it seems this particular run of Levon Pants were made with different sized patterns or in a different factory with different standards.
