Button Will Pop Open

These shorts are cute, comfortable, and provide adequate material between my thighs. However, though they are plenty large enough to fit my stomach in a standing posture, the button pops open almost every time I sit or bend forward. For reference, I am 5'6 and 130 pounds wearing a size 4.

Nooo, Arc'teryx

So disappointed. I trust Arc'teryx for its quality and fit and was so excited to get these as it's been a mission finding the perfect hiking short. There was absolutely no stretch in these shorts. I'm a size 6/8 and ordered an 8, and these were way too tight around the waist. I could barely even fit my hand down the front pocket. I contemplated keeping them but it wouldn't be comfortable keeping them on for an entire day hike. On the bright side, I love the roomy space for the thighs and the length. They feel durable. For reference, I'm 5'7, 145 pounds, muscular build with larger hips and butt.

Hi There, Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with the Creston Short 4.5. We're sorry the fit did not meet your expectations but appreciate your feedback. We do encourage the use of our sizing and fit guide, as our trim-fitting pieces will run narrower than our regular fitting pieces. Regardless, your comments are instrumental in ensuring we diversify our sizing for a wide range of customers, and will give our design team valid points to consider moving forward. If you have any other comments or concerns, be sure to give our Customer Support Line a call. We'd be happy to chat. All the best.

Disappointing!

These shorts were sturdy and I liked the amount of room in the thighs. They had attractive structure and good pockets. Unfortunately, the material on these pants has no give, making them uncomfortable unless you like to size up. I personally prefer to order to my measurements. The lack of stretch around the rear is a shame, but the waistband was the real loss. It was more rigid than the rest of the pant material, and the single snap closure means that even the slightest amount of waistband stress becomes visually obvious from front-view. I'm just on the cusp of having them fit correctly. I'll try ordering a size up, but I'm typically size 2 in Arc'teryx so I'm not optimistic about the fit of the 4.

Nothing like the Parapet short

The parapet short with the 2 buttons was better. The material was better, shorter legs, lower waist and narrower hips. I'm short and skinny, so all the shorts I've been wearing since don't fit. Reproduce it and I make a stock for me.Thanks

Odd fit

I love the look of these, they have a great material, great length, and super comfy waist. The only problem is they ride up in the crotch and it's super uncomfortable. I think they would fit those with a slimmer/athletic but. I have the Palisade pants in a size 2 and I can wear the Creston short in a size two under them. The Palisade pants also loosen up after wearing but these don't. I'm disappointed cause I can't return.

Too small

Love my Arcteryx parapet shorts. Ordered the Creston in black as looked a similar style. Material a bit heavier than Parapet. And way smaller fit on waist. I'm an 8 in parapet and I have room, they are not snug. I couldn't even button the Creston. Hate when sizes are not the same in a brand.

Hi There, Thank you for reaching out with your feedback on the Creston Short 4.5. We appreciate you sharing your experience compared to your Parapet Short. In looking at our measurement charts between the two, it appears the 2018 version of the parapet had an 83.5 cm waist and a 104.8 cm hip measurement, with a 1.3 +/- cm sewing tolerance. Compare this with the current version of our Creston Short, which has an 84 cm Waist measurement with a 104.8 cm hipe, and the same 1.3 +/- cm sewing tolerance. It appears you have already returned your Creston Short, and we regret this pair did not work for you. If there is anything else we can do, please feel free to reach out to our Customer Support Center or fill out a Contact Us form. All the best.

Good quality and comfortable

So I bought these shorts for casual wear and casual hikes, they are nice. Not restricting and lightweight. I like the colour. I do find the material to be noisy but it’s not noticeable unless it’s pretty quiet when walking. I’m happy with the purchase.

Great for Hiking and Swimming!

I absolutely love these shorts. I work in the outdoors both on land and water. I wear these shorts over my bathing suit when kayaking and doing river adventures - they dry fast and are comfortable. Best shorts ever!

Comfortable and versatile

Purchased these for both casual wear and hiking. They are very comfortable too with deep pockets and a hidden inner pocket within the right front pocket which was perfect on a recent vacation. Would recommend.

Please add stretch!

I was super excited to get these and then was disappointed when I tried them on and they didn't stretch. I'm a slim active built body type, with a booty so the stretch is definitely needed
