Sizing is fine
I'm not sure what everyone is talking about with regard to the size of these gloves being too small. I measured my hands (palm width and wrist-to-tip of middle finger) and ordered medium based on that. They fit fine. They are snug (which they are supposed to be), but certainly not too tight to wear or difficult to get on/off. If you are worried about the size, just measure your hand and order based on that rather than making assumptions about your size without a measurement. I haven't used them yet -- I just wanted to comment on the sizing because there were so many other comments about it.
Uncomfortable seams
I've been wearing cycling gloves for years to protect my delicate hands whenever I went paddling, but I wanted something more lightweight and fast drying so I bought these. I like their lightness and the way they fit (like others have said, they do run rather small so I went with a large instead of medium which is my usual gloves size) but they have very thick seams on all of the fingers that are really uncomfortable. I've never worn them for more than a couple of hours but I feel like if I wore them for longer or were doing more strenuous paddling (I am a pretty casual paddler) I would undoubtedly get blisters. Not worth returning because of this but when they inevitably disintegrate I will look for a seamless glove instead.
Tight, but good
I picked these up after two different paddle sessions causing the same brutal blisters on my thumb and sunburns on the back of my hands. I agree with other reviews that the fingers are a bit tight. I have narrow fingers and small hands so they fit me well regardless. If you got chunk mitts for hands these will not be for you. Due to their narrowness, they are incredibly difficult to get off when wet. It takes lots of little inching over the knuckles until you can grasp and pull them off. The padding on the hands and fingers are quite nice. The padding was over the region where I had blisters and was so comfortable I could paddle comfortably despite them. I really appreciate them being sun protective fabric. I had a still-healing sunburn and the gloves protected it, but as they got more and more soaked I felt like I had less sun protection as my sunburn hurt more. UPF fabric can be less effective when wet, so I hope that it was just due to a pre-existing sunburn and not that the gloves themselves are becoming less effective as they dampen. Overall, for their price, they're pretty solid gloves. I anticipate getting tons more use out of them.
not for everyone
I bought these to avoid the never-ending blisters I get leading canoe/kayak treks every summer. Ended up with more blisters than I would have gotten without them. They are wayyy too tight and the seams are thick and rough. Consider another glove/brand or sizing up. Honestly duct tape on my hands works better than these overall. I used these about every third day to spread the blisters out more evenly on my hands. Would not recommend and would not buy again.
No blisters and comfy
I wore these and my 14-year-old son wore the men's XS on a week-long canoe trip. They were comfortable and protected our hands from the sun and from blisters. Try them on; I would not have expected that I would have been a small and that he would have been an XS. They should be snug like a batting or football receiver glove.
Hole after one half day kayak trip
We bought this glove for kayaking and it developed a hole after only one trip. We cannot recommend it.
Order the next size up
Ordered a medium. These run very small. Sent them back.
Great buy
Saved my hands on an extended paddling trip. Good flexibility, right amount of padding. Run a tad small. I’m normally a medium in gloves and I needed a large.
Great gloves - they do the job!
These gloves are soft and comfortable, with enough padding in the right places to prevent pain from the arthritis in my hands. Dry quickly.
Very Small
I don’t know where they get their sizing, but these are way undersized. I wear a small, bought a medium online and they seems like child sized - and a small child, too. I tried on the XL and they were really tight around the ends of the fingers. Good grief. I bought a different brand.
