Great for growing toddlers

I had been looking for a water bottle that had a soft spout to be safe for his teeth (because toddlers bite everything), a flip top so he can easily know how to open and close without any complicated or stiff buttons his little fingers can't press, leak proof for obvious reasons, and something that can be taken apart to clean well. This is that bottle, I love it and my son loves it. I ordered two of the clear ones and put personalized stickers for him. Highly recommend, my daughter will be getting the same once she is old enough.

Love our Eddie

My daughter loves her Eddie! She carries it around with her everywhere. Cleaning is easy once you figure out how to take it apart.

Repeat purchase but it’s on repeat

Happy that these are still around! We have purchased many for our son who is five years old. However that also means that they do only last three or so months before the bottom is a bit shredded from being bumped against concrete floors and sidewalks at school to being dropped and rolled around. The regular Kindergartener wear and tear. What I do like is that I can fit my bottle brushes easily in to clean and that it’s easy to label this bottle with a permanent marker or waterproof label. The handle is handy and sturdy, perfect for small hands or a carry clip. The width of the bottle is perfect as well and fits nicely in our car and car seat cup holders.

Great for smoothies!

Have 3 little kids who drink smoothies almost daily from these. Bought one for our oldest (3) but our 10-month old twins have also started to like smoothies served in these! (They figured out the bite valves pretty quick.) So we ordered two more bottles to eliminate the fighting! The bite valves seem to wear out the most quickly - we’ve replaced two so far. Probably doesn’t help to have teething babies chewing them! But the bottles themselves are tough - they get dropped a lot but no cracks or leaks yet. They are pretty good to clean as the parts come apart, but when using to serve something as messy as a smoothie, the bite valves and straws do need a straw cleaner.

Product good but missing straw

The product is good and we got as a replacement from a previous one. However, bottle REI shipped is missing the straw making the bottle useless. REI return policy is either to pay $5.99 for return or have to take the time to get to a store. REI really should check before shipping that bottles are complete and then not expect people to pay to return or have to go to a store if they send something defective

Great for toddlers

Got these bottles for my 15 mo toddlers who only wanted my huge water bottle. It’s rated for older kids but my babes do great with it and love the monkey in the jungle scene!

Daughter loves it!

My daughter loves this sleek new Camelbak Eddy. It works wonderfully during the day but I find each night the straw has become unattached to the inside top. I keep trying to put it back in tightly but it often falls down, possibly due to it being in her backpack and her running around to/from school. She seems to not notice this, and never complains, but I don't think it works if the straw isn't attached on the inside. That said, she's in love with it and says it's her most favorite water bottle and if we ever lose it we have to get another.

Good bottle, annoying straw.

We have an older version of this water bottle and there are some new features. The straw is wider and the rubber mouth piece is easier to clean. However the straw always falls out of the mouth piece, more so than the older version. It's quite annoying and unhygienic to be constantly unscrewing the lid to fix the straw. Definitely a flaw that has gotten worst with these water bottles.

Great but...

Really great new. Doesn't leak, portable and straw works well. All parts can go into dishwasher. Our kids love it. However, bottom of bottle itself all of a sudden springs a leak. First time happened after about a year, second one after 3 weeks of use. Still replacing them because of ease of use.
