Great product, I’m all about running with no shirt and this is as close as it gets if you still need to haul hydration and calories. I’m in Texas and it’s hot. My one gripe is the front bottle holder materials start tearing away from the seams… won’t hold the bottles for much longer… I’ll need to stitch them soon.
I bought this vest and I’m glad I chose this one. I didn’t need too much storage so the 4l was just the right amount. The added soft flasks are also awesome to have. I find it convenient to toss them in the back once they run out of water. I was skeptical about the zippered pockets cause I sweat alot but to my surprise I kept my phone in their and when I went to take it out it was still dry. The only negative I would say is about sizing. I went by the measurements on the website and it says I was a medium. For reference my chest size is 41. I think a small would’ve been better suited cause when I have the flasks in I have a little bit of bounce. Other than that awesome job with this one
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the third vest I've had, and will be the only one I buy going forward. The bottles fit perfectly, there is the perfect amount of space with no space that lets anything bounce around when it's in there. The phone pocket is the best working phone pocket I've seen since it doesn't get in the way of the bottles at all. Haven't tried it with a bladder yet though since the bottles are enough.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this hydration pack. I have only used a few different brands from when I was in the military that would always bounce, the straps would come loose, the packs would be ill fitting etc. I am training for a 50 miler next month and decided to pull the trigger. I chose the pinnacle 4L because it had some good reviews and obviously I trust the brand. That being said it outperformed my expectations. Smooth, fitting, comfortable, no bounce, straps stay tight as you put them. Absolutely recommend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this vest now for a couple years and have taken it everywhere. OCR, many ultras, snow, extreme heat you name it. At this point its still holding up even after several cycles the the washer. My only critique would be the magnetic attachment for the hose to the vets. I lost it with in the first couple weeks would like to see that be permanently attached. Favorite Features - Water resistant zip pockets Easy access side pockets Allows you to carry more than enough hydration than you'll need
Vest was really helpful in bringing water along on a half marathon last weekend when the temps topped out at 94. Easy to get flasks in and out. Size for me is way off. I measured bottom of sternum at 41" so by their guidelines a medium. Way too small. I got another one which was a large and still small. I used SOS powdered electrolyte in one of the flasks and it turned pink after one use. I couldn't get it clean. For the amount of money you pay it should be able to not stain after a single electrolyte use. I'm new to using a running vest but was expecting better. Will likely just return and try something else.
This is the best fitting vest Nathan has come out with. The snug fit is great to reduce the bounce you normally get with 20oz bottles in the front pockets (if you are in between sizes, go down not up). Wore this for a 100 miler and would forget I had it on. Easy to access poles from the top and the lower access pockets are great to get your essentials without having to take your vest off. The material is soft and comfortable. I was even able to run the last 16 shirtless in the Arizona heat, which I can never do without chaffing. This is a ultralight vest that is great for racing but don't expect it to be the durable workhorse some of the heavier weight fabric vest are. Nailed it with this one.
Just upgrade to the Pinnacle 4L Race. Eat and love it!!! Amazing fit for someone who has a wide chest and TONS of storage options!! I can’t wait to use it for all my summer runs and races!!! Keep up the amazing work!
Probably my most comfortable vest, fits great, enjoying the bigger pockets
It's a great vest, frankly. Where I struggled with it (just yesterday on a 3 hour trail run) is when I needed to put my trekking poles BACK INTO the large panel. It just didn't want to go; some of that is due to the comfortable snugness of the vest, no doubt. But if there's any way the NATHAN design crew can come up with a different storage solution for access and especially putting BACK trekking poles, that would be awesome. Otherwise, I'll just keep practicing. Great storage, breathable, otherwise (love it).
