Hood with Minimal Benefits
While I like the overall weight of the material, I was disappointed that the material on the upper arms allows more cold air in than desired. However, I was much more disappointed in the performance of the hood. Without elastic or a drawcord, the hood lets in too much air, particularly when running into the wind. When this happens, not only does it create drag, but it provides no warmth benefits, completely defeating the purpose of having a hood. I would suggest taking another look at its design!
Brook winner! Hope they don't change the design, just colors.
Love this hoodie so much I have three of them in different colors! It's made of stretchy form-fitting material that's surprisingly breathable but warm. The pocket on the arm is extremely convenient for storing keys or ID/credit cards. This is a winner for Brooks. Only issue if I'm being picky is the hood is slightly loose. A draw string or elastic would be helpful. For some reason Brooks tends to miss on hood fitment. Overall definitely recommend!
Notch Thermal Hoodie
Love it. Bought one for my son for Christmas and liked it so much I almost kept it for myself. I did the right thing and gave it to him but bought this one for me. In Cleveland we get wildly fluctuating weather. In 7 degrees I put a dri fit t-shirt under the hoodie and a wind breaker over it and I’m good to go. A little warmer weather, 25-35 degrees I can ditch the t-shirt or, if it’s sunny with no wind I’ll keep the T and skip the wind breaker.
Winter running gear
I don’t like running in cold weather but this pull over makes it tolerable. I wear this with a tee shirt underneath which makes it comfortable without having to wear many layers and not getting overheated. I use this for runs anywhere between mid-20 degrees to low 40 degrees. It is good for both shorter and longer runs. I would like to try the new 2.0 quarter zip but it is too pricey. This one is really good for the price.
Great hoodie for chilly runs.
Love this! The material is light enough that it layers well, and just thick enough to keep me warm on chilly days (anywhere above freezing seems to work well with a thin layer underneath). I like having the hood rolled up at the back in case I need some extra warmth, and the thumb holes are great too for warmth and fit. This is my new go-to hoodie for chilly days.
Looks good in Zoom meetings.
To be honest, I haven't run in this yet due to a wonky right knee. But now that most of us are WFH, this is an indispensable part of my current wardrobe - it's cozy, warm, and presentable for Zoom meetings. And I love the thumb loops when going out for bike rides (which my knee handles). A good buy.
I like the design and fit of this. It's a nice soft material, that can be a great layering piece, what I don't understand is why Brooks stopped putting reflective material on their gear. I noticed this jacket along with a Spartan pant I recently purchased both lack reflective logos or details. Why?
Athletic fitting mid-weight layer for colder runs
This is one of my go-to layers for colder runs, hikes, or mountain biking. It is a medium-weight mid-layer that breaths well enough. I like the thumb loops as well. It is an athletic fit without extra billowing fabric. 5'11'' 178lbs long arms and muscular build, Large fits great!
Great shirt for cooler/cold days
My favorite shirt for colder weather. The design prevents chafing and keeps you warm without feeling soaked. I own three of these, the one that hit the dryer on a higher temperature setting is now slightly less comfortable than the other two which have avoided that fate.
Bought one...then bought another because I liked it so much.
Great shirt. Warm and extremely comfortable. These fit really well. Great for running. I've also used them as a base-layer/mid-layer for skiing, and they work really well for that also. I bought one and had to buy another because it was my favorite long sleeve shirt.
