Ultimate camping luxury item
Really changed my sleep system for the better. Fantastic sturdy product that gives you comfort on the trail. Its not the lightest cot on the market, but its worth the weight considering you receive amazing sleep in return. Also has a small pocket built in so you can insert your sleeping pad. Probably wouldn't fit an inflatable sleeping pad but my thin foam sleeping pad slides in nice. Set up takes about 5 minutes. If you are older or have injured joints you may have problems with assembly. I could see the cross beam/feet of the cot being a challenge for injured/older people bc they are under a lot of tension. Fantastic product!
Great in a Tent
I used a friend's Alps Mountaineering Ready Lite Cot on a five day camping trip near Central, Alaska in my 2 person Hubba Hubba MSR tent. I weigh 250 pounds and the cot held up great. No complaints. I am now purchasing several for my family to use on our future camping trips.
Easy to Set-Up Cot
Relatively easy to assemble and the matrass has a sleeve which accommodates smaller sleep pads. The cot re-packs easily and is small and light.
Failed on the fourth night :(
This cot was amazing, and perfect to sleep on until it tore in the middle of the fourth night of camping. Had to sleep the rest of the trip on the floor of my tent. Going to return it back to REI.
