I was so excited about these hiking boots!! Thankful I tried them out before my backpacking trip. I’m a Hoka fan, but these were ridiculous. The hike up the mountain was fine, but the hike down was simply dangerous. The disclaimer to not navigate stairs or drive a vehicle should have tipped me off. It was a steep descent with lots of roots and rocks. My heels kept getting wedged and stuck in the roots and rocks. So these would be perfect boots if you have zero obstacles. If you’re on a smooth path great, but I wouldn’t recommend on a real hike. Returned.
I was very disappointed in these shoes. There is information inside the box indicating you shouldn't wear these shoes and drive or use stairs. I often climb stairs when I'm hiking. I plan to return them.
Unfortunately, I'm going to have to return them. I had hoped they would be like my Stinson ATRs, with a roomy toe box, to go along with the wide heal and ankle support. But no matter how much I loosen the laces, the toe box is way too small. My big toe ends up literally in the exact middle of the shoe...where the little strip is. Very weird. There's no way I could hike or backpack in these. I'm dissappointed.
At first I was excited about these shoes. But after walking around in them in the house I decided to return them. I never wore them outside. The heels just poked out too far. There is a warning about wearing them in steps and since I bought them to walk in Europe where there are many stone steps, I just decided they were not for me. I read a lot of positive reviews before I bought them so it may just be me.
Overkill. Padding is great, but shoe is far too wide. Shoes just look a bit silly.
