Perfect All-Around Base Layer
I've worn this top for a multitude of activities from sweltering mid-summer approaches to both alpine climbs and sport climbs alike, spring alpine ice climbs and multi-pitch traditional rock routes. This shirt does exactly what I need it to; keep me cool and dry on both the approach and the climb. The fit is perfect for me. I chose a size medium (6' 170lbs) and couldn't be more happy with it. I have not had any bad experiences yet with pilling or abrasion (even after climbing pitch after pitch of coarse granite offwidth high in the mountains) but it to be assumed that if you use this shirt, it will get abused to some degree!
Comfortable and Environmentally Friendly
I am an Outdoor Instructor and an avid thru hiker and I use gear like this for both work and pleasure when on personal adventures. I am usually a small and I ordered a small in the White Fern color. It fits well! The Wicked Tech Short Sleeve T-shirt has a loose fit and is great at wicking moisture off my body while I am hiking. I love that the shirt is made from 100% recycled polyester materials, which helps keep my footprint lower than it would be with another shirt construction. It is great for hiking, camping, and backpacking and I am excited about all of the adventures I will be able to take it on!
Eco friendly and great performance
I’m a yoga instructor, trail guide, community scientist, and environmental educator. I need my gear to hike, camp and practice yoga. 5 stars I’m usually a small. I ordered a small. This fits true to size. I have wide shoulders and am 37” around the chest, and I have some room to spare in the armpits and chest area. I’m 31” around the natural waist and 40” at hips. It fits loosely around the waist and has an inch extra around the bottom of the shirt. I got it in White Fern. Kudos to Mountain Hardware for providing a 100% recycled and recyclable option. I love that this shirt is eco friendly. It’s lightweight but thicker than Shade Lite fabric. It’s soft and does dry quickly but isn’t upf . It’s a great shirt for hiking, backpacking, camping, yoga, and casual wear.
Great Shirt
Love this shirt. Very nice and comfortable. Got it during a hot Toronto summer. Brought it on an 8 day trek on Kilimanjaro and wore most afternoons around camp during the heat of the day. Only complaint is it seems to catch the dirt more easily than most shirts, like if I brush against something dirty like the tent flap, it seems to make it easily. Not a huge problem on a hike or camping since you’re pretty dirty anyway, just an observation.
Not a durable fabric
I have two of these shirts, and neither has been very durable. I loved the Wicked Lite shirts that MW made in the past and high hopes for these as well, but as other reviews have noted the durability is just not there. The do wear significantly when rubbing u against something or under the straps of a pack. They do well wicking sweat off of the body though. Wish MW would sell the old Wicked Lite shirts again.
Mens Wicked Tech
What a great short sleeve shirt for summer. The fit is athletic and the material is extremely comfortable. Could easily be worn layered during spring and fall as well. Im 6'-4 and went with XL. The fit is perfect. Front and back Logo is attractive as well.
Finally I don't have to go to the men's section
super soft! flattering fit and length! finally a women's shirt that doesn't attempt to hug my curves so that I don't have to go find a men's t shirt. I wish there were more colors! I'd buy them all! sweat wicking/great performance.
simple. easy.
Sometimes you just need a simple tech tee to do everything in and this Wicked Tee fits the bill. I've purchased several more after initially buying one short sleeve and one long sleeve. I'm 5'11" and 184lbs.
Cute color but odd fit in the shoulders
Cute color but odd fit in the shoulders. the material feels cheap & stays wrinkled even when pulling it fresh from the dryer. I'm gonna stick to the mighty stripe tees that i know and love
Fits great, feels great
I am the author of the Falcon Guide to Vanlife and Hiking Wyoming, so I spend a majority of my time hiking trails, backpacking, and living outside. My gear needs to be tough, multi-use, lightweight, and hopefully not take up too much space (to stay in the van). I travel mostly around Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana. Am normally a medium, I ordered a medium and it fits great. I have a larger chest, but it still cuts nicely around the armpits and is comfortable to wear. Usually “tech tee’s” look terrible on me, they cut or are tight in the wrong place, but this one looks great. The material also doesn’t have that techy feel but I know it would still wick sweat well. The feature I really liked was how quickly this shirt dried after use. The days are creeping into the 80’s and it’s been great to have a shirt I know I can throw on at any time for a quick hike. I also really like that it’s made from 100 percent recycled materials. I will be taking this into the backcountry on backpacking trips, using it for short and long hikes in hot weather, and as a layer over a bathing suit if I want the added sun protection.
