Good not best for $$ paid. More stitching to ensure inner lining wont come out when taking gloves off...kids don't follow the instructions so make kid proof.

Impossibly Large

I carefully measured according to the instructions—both length and circumference—and my 7 year old son matched the size Large. However, they turned out to be impossibly large (2 or 3 sizes too big). Seems like they were meant for a teenager as I can squeeze my hand in. I researched online and it seems like the prior version of these was something more like size 6-8 (small), 10-12 (medium) 14-16 (large). No clue how REI messed up their sizing chart so badly.

I bought these a month ago, and have not taken them off. they are so warm. the other day I was on a bike ride and then the wind started whipping and the temperature dropped quickly. My ears were dying, but my hands were sweating. THEY ARE MAD TOASTY.

Warm, but falling apart

My son has used these mittens less than 4 months, and now all the seams are split along the palm and some of the finger/thumb areas as well. They were great for the first couple of months, and he loved the dexterity, but unfortunately they are not made to last.
