I just don't know with all these reviews......

Not sure what to say. It is correct that you cannot fully operate the nozzle one handed during a ride. But it's also designed that way, and designed well. It was very simple to figure out how to use, I did not have ANY leaking problems, and easy to take a drink from during my ride. According to my Garmin, it was 70 degrees during my ride. The ice I put in before I left is still present 3 hours later. The extra $15 bucks between this and a low end, non-insulated bottle that I have to use my teeth to open wasn't gonna break the bank in the first place, but I would recommend this bottle. Nothing is perfect, but I'm very satisfied with this and will probably get a second one.

Insulation works

Comparing this 21 fluid ounce variant to the 24 ounce variant. The do hold different volumes, and this one uses those 3 ounces of volume for thermal insulation. In testing water from the same starting temperature on the same day, the 21oz unit kept the liquid appreciably colder than the 24oz variant; the 24oz's water had equilibrated to ambient temperature after about 2hr cycling outdoors (~20°C, mildly sunny), while the 21oz's water remained cool. It fits well within my Specialized water bottle cage, securely but also easy to remove from the correct angle. The nozzle is easy to clean, including the inner faces of the spout jet. The inside of the lid is a simplified design over CamelBak's design from 10y ago, and is markedly easier to clean. There is a removable element that greatly eases cleanup. The twist-to-seal function works as expected, and I am satisfied with it. Both this and the 24oz. variant are good products; one holds more water, the other holds its cooler.

Best Mountain Biking bottle ever had

IF YOU LIKE COLD water when riding , this is your bottle. Not everyone does… I ride in 100+degree temps In Arizona in the summer for 1-2 hours; I fill 1/2 ice and the rest water + electrolytes if that suites you. At the end of the ride is STILL ice cold! Only downside I see is the thickness of insulation keeps it from holding more oz. And yes you do have to stop to drink from it, you have to squeeze the bottle pretty firmly to get that refreshing blast of water!

I filled it full of ice and then water and then went out on a 2 hour ride in 80-90+ degrees for 2 hrs and water was still cold and some small pieces of ice left. it works!

Works as advertised

I previously had a Podium insulated bottle, which worked great. The Podium Ice Series works even better at keeping my water cold or cool for long rides in the heat. My observations: Podium un-insulated bottle kept water cold for about 7-8 miles, then cool for another 5 or so miles. After 15 miles, the water was warm. The Podium insulated bottle kept water cold or cool for about 20-25 miles. The Podium Ice bottle keeps my water cold (or very cool) for my entire ride of 40-50 miles! If I put a few cubes of ice into the bottle, then it will be cold for the entire ride, even if it's 85-90°F. Great for the summer heat!

Good insulated bicycle water bottle

This bottle keeps ice water cool for at least a couple hours. If filled with mostly ice, and some water you will have at least cool water two hours later on a hot (90+) day. If you freeze the bottle overnight you can have cool water after 3 hours. It is a bit stiff when squeezing so needs more hand pressure than other bottles I have tried.

Overall a good design

I've had previous CamelBak insulated water bottles. I bought this because I could no longer remove the mold from my previous bottles. In one respect this one is a notch lower than the older ones I had. The knob to open the valve is stiff enough that it sometimes unscrews the cap instead of opening the valve. However, it does a tremendous job of keeping the contents cold so am accepting that deficiency. Perhaps in time it will loosen up.

Camelback has your bike hydration needs covered!

Oversized bottle holds extra liquid, isulation keeps contents cold. May not fit some mountain bike frames, so get the smaller version. Locking valve is easy to use and draws well. I fill the bottle with ice cubes, then add the drink when ready to ride~ stays cold longer. Highly recommend!

Great product

Definitely keeps liquid cooler. The only downside is that it is much more difficult to squeeze than a non insulated bottle.
