Terrible
Was excited about the story of the brand, and the look and "comfort" description of these shoes provided online. Received these after some anticipation yesterday, and by far, these are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn. Complete lack of a soft insert for your feet (contrary to what is described) and feels like you are stepping into a loose pair of oversized, flat shoes, and walking directly on a cement floor. The shoes look good from the outside, but the comfort/feel is the worst.
BSE - best shoes ever
This is (these are??) my second pair of OluKai Lae'ahi shoes. I now have the parchment (grey) and deep blue. I was thinking of wearing the dark blue with a black suit to my nephew's wedding but decided not [potentially] to annoy my sister-in-law. I wore the grey ones for my month in Africa (Democratic Republic of Congo) and I wore them every minute of my 39 hour trip back to Arizona. I'll bring one or both when I return for 2 months starting in August - comfortable does not even begin to describe them and they are easy to clean, so the sides stay white even in rough streets.
Really comfortable but dissapointing
Got these for inside the house shoes. Really comfortable slip ons, combine that with the fact that you can fold down the heal and you have a great house shoe. With that said, after two weeks, the sole of the right shoe started coming apart from the top of the shoe. Despite this I've had and worn them on a daily basis and the faulty shoe has held up and not gotten worse. I would've rated them five stars but for obvious reasons I scored them lower.
Comfortable and sockless
I love these shoes. This is my second pair and I like the tighter fit. They also fit truer to size than the previous model. Only complaint is that the toe box on my right shoe folded awkwardly and now it sometimes digs into my big toe. Used primarily as a casual shoe without socks and also to golf. They keep me planted and don’t gouge the greens. If your going sockless they’re great at keeping the smell away at first but if you toss the insoles into the washer you’ll be good to go. Mahalo!
I like green color shoes
I liked the old style better. The cut is a little higher. Overall good shoe but a little expensive. My la,st pair latest for over a decade.
not to be confused with the sandals
I was thoroughly unimpressed with these. Not only are they significantly narrower than the sandals, they don't have near the support. I am returning them
Wrong shoes in shipment
The shoes that actually came in the shipment were not what I ordered. I didn’t realize it right away because they were a gift for my dad on Father’s Day. Only found out about two weeks later when I saw him next due to living in different states.
Not in stock
I wanted them, but they only had full sizes and not half sizes. When I received them, they were too big and then when I returned them, they didn't have the next size in stock.
Am I right?
I like the shoes. My kids say they’re generic. But if I write a review I hope REI will give me another 20% off.
