Quality not as great as other Merrell shoes
We normally love Merrell shoes but these did not hold up as well as other Merrell hiking shoes my kids have owned. The first pair we owned the lace broke immediately. We received credit to order a new pair. The second pair was ok for a few months, but after about 3 months of wear the inside of both shoes has completely worn through. My son was complaining that they were hurting his feet and I looked inside to see the black inner layer had worn completely through on both sides.

Hikers not for active 8 and 10 year old boys
These shoes did not hold up any where as well as another brand has in the past. Within a few months of our short Nordic summer (3?), the tops had to be glued back together multiple times, the insoles are gone and had to be replaced with after market soles

Not durable
I bought these for my son thinking they’d be durable for his active lifestyle. After the second day of wearing these shoes, half of the strap is missing and there is already a hole in one of them. I would not recommend these.

My son wore them for a week before the sole ripped
Fell apart after a few wears - waste of money sad.
Kids shoes can not survive kids
I love Merrell shoes and they usually last longer than any other brand but these didn’t last long at all. Bought them for all three kids for summer camps this year and after the first week of my oldest wearing them the sole started to separate from the shoe now it is almost completely off and I will have to find something else that he can wear. The other two aren’t as tough on shoes but there’s are showing worse wear than I would have expected. Very disappointed in these shoes.

Comfortable but wont last long.
Bought these for my 9yr old in April. He likes them and really likes them. However 3 months later of just using for hikes, the soles are separating from top leather and water leaks in the sides. Wont buy these again.

Comfy, supportive, great for hiking and biking
My soon to be 6 year old loves this shoe. We ordered the blue and they look stylish, yet more importantly that offer support for an active boy!
Great shoes, but run very small
These run a full size too small. My twins wear a 1.5 in most shoes. I ordered a pair of 2s and a pair of 2.5s since they were on sale. I figured this would give them some growing room and they’d have a pair for next year as well. Welp, I was wrong because the 2.5s barely fit them. They probably won’t even last them a year. It’s weird because I have two pairs of Merrell dragonfly sandals in size 2 that are still too big for them. On the upside, my kids think these are the most comfortable shoes in the world. They are also very easy for them to put on themselves. I’ll definitely buy again, but I’ll buy *at least* one full size larger than what they wear.

Worth the money!
After throwing away several pairs of shoes that I have bought my daughter, I finally decided to invest in a pair of Merrell's! I love them for myself and they last a long time so I was hoping the same for my daughter. She put them on right away and hasn't taken them off since. 6 months later they still don't look roughed up, I am certain these are shoes I will be donating once she grows out of them, and I will be buying more! It is not often I align myself with a brand, but this brand I certainly will! She uses these for regular school days, as well as girls on the run practice, and playing in the woods!
Issue with Velcro
My son has had 3 pairs of these shoes now in the last year. They are WONDERFUL for toe-draggers. Unfortunately, we've had an issue with the velcro on the last 2 pairs. I bought a pair in April and one in August, and the same thing happened to both. My kid is hard on things, but after the 2nd pair started to separate within a couple weeks, I think it's a design flaw. Really disappointed because it is super difficult to sew the velcro back on.
