OBSESSED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT
This jacket is perfect!!! I’m 5’4”, curvy, 150lbs and I ordered a large. I have plenty of room to move around and layer underneath. It has so many pockets it’s perfect. Really warm!
Warm and Stylish Jacket for Snowboarding
I went snowboarding for the first time. I figured I'd get a nice water proof jacket. I was in Keystone Colorado and took a beginners class for boarding. This coat kept me warm in 4 degree weather for the four hours I was there. I actually was really hot and had to open the slits on the sides of the jacket. I love the fact that there were so many pockets, I was able to place important items like my car keys, phone and wallet in all the pockets and it didn't make me look bulky at all. Super cute and stylish yet keeps you warm! I also have been wearing it daily since it's been so cold here in CO. Would definitely buy again. The last part I loved is the back of the jacket extends past your buttocks so when you're snowboarding it helps add extra cushion when you fall.
Warm and comfortable
I snowboard frequently and always have a colder days and warmer days option. I bought this jacket as a replacement for my colder days option. I am very happy with it across the board. The coldest day I have worn it so far was -10 and snowing/wet, and I felt sufficiently warm, even sitting on the lift. Fit works well for my body type - I am 5'3" and curvy and bought a medium. I typically wear medium in Burton jackets. I have room to move and layer, but don't feel like I'm wearing an oversized men's jacket. At my height, it does cover my butt with arms lifted, and when sitting. Lots of great pockets as well. I have seen reviews that neck is wide and lets wind in, but I wear a base layer with high neck or gaiter on days I want the extra warmth of this jacket, so that hasn't bothered me. I have been buying Burton soft goods for years, and they are fairly durable, so I expect to get at least 2 - 4 seasons out of it. It's also stylish enough that I have worn it out in the city for errands and meeting with friends outside.
Great fit
I am 5'7" 140lbs hourglass shape and the medium is a nice comfortable fit. I was between sizes, but for snowboarding I like things a bit looser. Love the length and level of warmth the jacket provides, great for layering up or down.
Warm & great features
Kept me nice and warm in the blizzard! I love all of the features - cinching hood, thumb hole sleeves, powder skirt, giant pockets that open from the top so items don’t slip out when you unzip. Also a beautiful color palette!
Oversized and cozy
I purchased a size medium and I am 5'0" and this jacket is definitely long. It covers my butt, which I wanted since there is a lot of sitting in snowboarding. My waist is around 28" but my hips are around 42" which is why I went with a medium. It has an oversized look to it but its not tight around my hips which is what I was going for. This jacket seems to have everything - one of the dump pockets in the front has a more secure pocket for a card, and the other one has a clip for keys. Both also zip closed which is nice. The sleeves have a lining that sticks out with thumb holes which is so smart - since you can put your thumbs through the holes and still fit your hands in gloves. The collar is nice and warm since it is lined. Can't wait to get lots of use out of this jacket. Will update review if I encounter any problems.
Love it!
I bought this jacket for snowboarding and I love it. It has several great pockets and is really long in the back. Very warm and cozy. Love it!
Does not live up to the hype
Burton's quality is slipping. Plastic zippers and button caps, jacket not warm. I was originally a little iffy about the boxy fit. I had gotten a small and it fit well, but looked big in certain spots. Then I wore it to the store, with a long sleeve t-shirt and a sweater under, in about 40 degree weather. There was no wind/snow/rain or anything and I was COLD!! For a jacket that cost so much money, I feel like it should be warm enough for a trip to the grocery store on a moderately cold evening!! Returned the jacket and bought a Patagonia instead!
Cute, functional!
Warm (but not Northern Wisconsin warm), cozy, cute, and durable! I use this mostly for city life since I have a lightweight puffy for mountain adventures, but it is so great for biking and walking around Colorado and Philadelphia! I get lots of compliments on it, the hood fits over my bicycle helmet, it zips up to my nose and with the sherpa lining it keeps the lower half of my face warm, the lateral high cuts add femininity to an otherwise sporty jacket, the drawstring waist adds a touch of shape so it's not overly boxy, the sleeves end at the PIP joint (yay!), the hand extensions ensure my wrists are cozy and are helpful when I forget gloves, and it covers my bum which was a must for me! And did I mention the pockets? So many pockets! The two front exterior ones are perfect for quick access and include both zippers and velcro to secure them; the interior zip pocket is perfect for a cell phone/credit cards/fem products, and then the mesh interior pouches are great for last minute snack bars thrown in. I have gone skiing it in and it was great, even though it really feels like a snowboarding jacket due to its length so I wouldn't recommend it being a go-to ski jacket. I'm 5'7" and the front/back hits mid thigh. To give you a vibe I'm a 30-something but feel 20-something, West Coast woman briefly living in Philadelphia and this jackets fits my personality to the T!
It is nicley made.
The coat is nicely made, my main criticisms are that having such a long ziller makes it hard to zip as your arms don't reach that far down, and if you lift the bottom up to arm level to zip, it is difficult to get the zipper aligned. This is also true with the Nuuk Parka I bought to replace the Burton. The long cut looks a bit funny to me with the curvey bottom. There are no hand warmer pockets.
