Terrible couster service I will never ever buy anyting
I wish I could put minus 10 stars or more. my dogs weight is just 15lb I just used 3 months and zipper is jammed and inside part undone . I contact the costumer service they told me I have to pay shipping ? why it is just 3 months old back pack. why you don't send me a new one? Do you guys start making packs broken with in 1 month? is your product made by paper or something? I own more than 6 Timbuk2 product my life and over 20 years ago when I called the guy was so nice and he sent to me a catalog free of charge. at that moment I fall in love you guys but now that is history I am so disappointed and I will never ever buy anything form you rest of life
Exactly what I needed for daily commuting!
Highly recommended product. Well made. It's a cool looking bag that fits dogs of "most" shapes and sizes. Must check it out if you are looking to take your pup everywhere. I know.. I do!
Neat backpack
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not aware that there was a backpack made specifically to carry a dog around until I received this product. This would be great for taking your small dog on a hike or for everyday use. It has several zippered opening on the sides where your dog can stick its head out and see what's going on. It's very sturdy and heavier than a normal backpack. The straps are very comfortable. The only problem I had was with the main zipper getting caught up in certain spots. Otherwise, I think this is a great backpack and would recommend it to others.
NYC MUST HAVE
I use the medium Mutt Mover light on my daily NYC train commute. My pup is a small 15 lbs and fits perfectly in the bag, with plenty of room to lay down (with his head out of the window). The back padding on this new model is stellar and the spine cut out makes wearing the bag for longer periods of time more comfy. I love the deep zip pocket which houses all of my pup's gear. The bag has a nice steardy frame with a pliable zip up flap so it doesn't crush my furry travel mate. This bag is ideal for trains and taking your dog for a bike ride. Sadly, it's a bit too tall to use on an airplane. THIS BAG IS AWESOME AND IS A MUST HAVE FOR ANY URBAN DOG OWNER!!!!
MuttMover is good, but I want more.
I have used many dog backpacks and I was excited to try the Timbuk2 MuttMover since it was made by an actual bag maker. I received the Medium MuttMover and I was hoping it would fit both of my dogs. I have two Chorkies, one is 5 pounds and the is three and half pounds. Unfortunately it only fit one of them comfortably. Fortunately the bag itself feels like a real bag and not a junk. I do however wish that the internal space was more open. The bag wants to close in on itself, which intern makes it look and I am sure feel smaller than it is. I saw a video on YouTube where a guy made a small internal frame to keep the bag at its widest all the time. I like the idea and will most likely do the same. I will most likely purchase another another bag so my wife and I can take the kids on hikes with us in the future.
A mostly successful upgrade over the original
After two happy years with the original Muttmover, I decided to go for the upgrade. My dog and I are about 85% happy with it. The medium 'light' bag is a bit longer/taller than the original and so it rides slightly differently. It's also a bit heavier. The upsides are significant, though - there are more window options to cater to more dog moods, and I like the additional pockets. I'd still like to see more secure pockets for those of us who are trekking in crowded cities, and I think the weight of the bag could be lessened, but this is overall a great product that has certainly enhanced the lifestyle of my elderly dog who would otherwise be spending many more hours Home Alone!
Great backpack for small dogs
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never used a dog backpack/carrier before. And I've come across The Muttmover Light Jet Black Light Rip and was excited to use it. The bag is great and comfortable to use. The materials are sturdy and design is sleek. A great bag for small dogs. The bag space I think is comfortable for only one small dog. I wish it has more pockets. The mesh zippers on both sides are awesome, my dog can hang his heads out. I was even surprise that it included a water dish, it would be great hiking. I liked that the bag has a waist strap and a re-adjustable chest strap. I would recommend to small dog owners.
Good fit for a norwegian lundehund!
Well made, the smallversion is a good fit for my 18 lbs Norwegian Lundehund. The big version was too big for him and was a hassle carrying around so I switched to the smallest lightweight version. My dog seems comfy in there and is happy when he sees it because it means he is going somewhere. Looking forward to using it on my bike or motorcycle in the following months.
Not what I expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Muttmover in a medium size but it was much smaller than I thought it would be. The description says that it would hold a pet up to 25 lbs but I really don't see how. The bag is big enough to carry my 3 lb chihuahua and can only see it carrying a pet only a little bigger than her for the pet to comfortable. Not something that I would get again.
It's an unusual product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product with a 5 pound chihuahua! She wasn't a happy camper being put inside the backpack! As she went to one side of the pack, I felt very uncomfortable for her! She cried the entire time while I tested out this pack!
