Good shock absorbers and arch support

I know REI does its research before adding a product so I was happy to see OOFOS sport slides added to REI's product list. Here are my takeways on wearing these sport slides around a campground after changing from hiking boots or running shoes: - Lightweight: I noticed this immediately when put them on. - Arch Support: OOahh is a good name for the arch support I felt when I slipped them on. Other slides and flip flops I've worn have had a flat footbed. These are good for my high arches. - Sizing: At first, I thought they might be a bit large. My feet are 9.5 US. I wasn't sure what to do about that .5, but the OOFOS site indicates women should order up a half size. (Men should order down a half size.) I ended up with the M 8/W 10. The size is working out well; they didn't feel too large despite my initial impression. - Just Walking Around: I've tried flip flops, slides and Crocs as my 'hanging around camp' shoes which double as shower shoes. The flat flip flops make my Achilles tendons tight if I wear them too much, and Crocs cut into the tops of my bony feet. Slides fit my feet better, and the addition of arch support along with a cushy sole is great. The tops are not causing any hot spots on the top of my feet. - Shower Shoes and Safety: These are a 'must have' for me at the campground shower or my preferred gym showers on the road because I'm not showering at any of these places in bare feet! This slide has to handle the moisture. Water collects a bit in the footbed due to the curviness, but I just shook it out. Most importantly, I haven't had the sandal slide or stick to any floor. This is really important because sliding or sticking could really wreck a knee. OOFOS advertises their products as 'recovery technology for your feet' with emphasis on absorbing shock on your feet, providing arch support, and reducing stress on your feet, knees and back. They delivered on all counts.

Great slides for around the house

I wear these to pad around the house after dealing with some tender tendons in my foot. Generally favorable review here, these are super comfy and feel more cushy than the other "recovery sandals" that are out there without overbearing arch support. Two things I would like to point out is that 1) you should consider wearing socks with these most of the time, even if its cold, as they make my feet sweat more than normal, and 2) these run a size large. I wear a 10.5/11 and I sized down to the 10 and they fit perfect. While they don't slide off my feet like Birks, I wouldn't wear these out on a rocky trail but for around the house they are a luxury. A great gift for runner friends or people who like to indulge themselves.

Wow

Most cushioned slides I have ever owned and superior arch support too. Not sure about quality because I just bought them two days ago but I have no complaints thus far and I am considering buying one or two more pairs soon. All I need now is to find running shoes and hiking boots with this level of comfort. I do wish they came in half sizes... I wear 9 and1/2 or 10 depending on the brand... I bought a 10 and they are slightly large on me early in the day before my feet swell and without socks. Not a big deal but I may see if a 9 feels more secure

Walking on the cloud

Very comfortable especially after playing sports or hiking. I have arthritis and my feet used to really hurt after playing tennis. The OOfos have been a god send.

Excellent but snug

Reordered in a bigger size because the top is tight as other reviewers noted. Even going up one size, I cannot wear these with socks due to the snug fit. They are not uncomfortable but they are definitely snug so if you want to wear with socks, these probably are not right for you. Extraordinarily comfortable and do not squeak. Not sure how they'll hold up - they seem sturdy but I plan to wear them often - but I'm confident I'll order another pair when they wear down because they really are very supportive which is why I bought them.

The most comfortable slipper I have ever worn.

First things first Im not a slipper guy. I have multiple brand name slippers which I choose to not to name because each slipper has its purpose. Also I am flat footed as well. As soon as I passed by these slippers in the store I could not help but noticed how hideous this slipper looked. But then I thought to myself well REI would have not put these slippers into the store for no reason. So I did our modern day research google/youtube and turns out these slippers are for recovery for your foot after hiking and etc activities on your feet. So I decided to kick my shoes off and give them a try as soon as I slipped these heavenly delights I felt as if my feet died and went to feet heaven as each step was on a cloud. Each step I took the slipper became more beautiful to the sole. Overall GREAT SLIPPER! -For after Hikes -Work /Long days for standing long periods of time. -For plane rides, train rides, long car rides. Would I recommend this slipper to anyone else? Yes I would! Would I buy this slipper again? Yes I would! Dont knockem until you try them!

Good comfort, low durability. Hard to justify $tag

Comfortable but low durability. I found the sandals very comfortable but dont get them wet. Your foot slides around in it when they get wet (beach, lake, pool) and because your feet slide the forces on the top of the sandal can be a lot and mine ripped. If you are just using them post workout and gently they are very comfortable.

The Best Sandals EVER.

These are the most comfortable pair of sandals I have ever worn. We got these for everyone in the family as Christmas presents and they were pleasantly surprised. They provide my tired feet with so much relief. I plan to buy a second pair because I have been wearing them out and I initially intended them to be house slippers. I love these.
