Better than a Purse
Fanny Packs are my favorite. I actually prefer them over carrying a purse. I previously had a Patagonia pack but I have worn it out (and my dog got to the clips). I bought this pack before heading out on a trip. REI was sold-out of most packs due to Christmas, I love seeing that these are gaining popularity! This one was still left and I loved the color and size. The straps are really big but less likely to get mangled around. The front pocket is more spacious than my previous one and this one is sturdier and less likely to squish. I love having this for daily use as well as short hikes or walks when I need to carry a few things.
Good quality but small
I purchased this to accompany the rope sling bag. The material and quality are very nice but the pouches are pretty small. The large pouch is able to hold my phone and that’s about it. When I use it I have to break down my wallet and carry only the cards I’m going to be using so that my keys and chapstick will fit. Honestly that’s about the extent of what it will hold. Had I not purchased the item with a gift card I probably would’ve taken it back and just kept the rope sling bag by itself. It would probably be sufficient for a day at the theme park or something similar but it seems for fashionable than useful to me.
Cute and Practical
I got this as a gift from my partner and I love it! It’s comfortable to wear, with a non pinching buckle, structurally well made, and has nice wide adjustable straps on both sides with an elastic strap holder so your loose ends aren’t flapping around. I can fit my iPhone 6 plus that has a bulky otterbox case, my thick card holder wallet, and car keys into this baby and still feel stylin’. My partner used a 20% off coupon so it came out to be $20-$21 and change.

HUGE shout-out to Kavu for both having a built-in strap that is significantly longer than notable competitors (namely Patagonia, but I tried on maybe 5 different brands in-store and this was the only one that fit me comfortably) and having the option to purchase compatible extender straps for those who need longer than I do!!! I LOVE that my big body is welcome with this brand. The pack is exactly the right size for my daily basics, the zippers and the clip feel durable and move with ease, the rainbow pattern is SO fun (and a nice little way to subtly alert the other gays of my presence), the padding on the back is super comfortable. From day 1 of buying it, it has become my absolutely irreplaceable every-day bag. LOVE. Quick note that I have flown with it several times and have gotten no flack for it being a "personal item" -- game-changer to be able to have this on my person and ALSO have a backpack and suitcase carried on. Cute and simple but iPhone won’t fit
This waistpack is cute and with only 2 compartments that are so easy to use. My partner loves it. Because of the oval shape, my partner’s iPhone 6s barely fits. A 12 oz water bottle would no way fit. He only carries the phone, wallet, and a hand sanitizer so it serves purpose. We were going to share but I would carry more stuffs so I like the REI waistpack better. The REI pack can hold a 12 oz water bottle.
Functional, cute, and patriotic
While shopping the same, my daughter saw this. It isn’t bulky but holds an iPhone 12, slim wallet, and a couple of small items like hand lotion or chapstick. The biggest selling point is it fits flat against the body. And both straps can be adjusted individually. Perfect for smaller waists.
The dog print is UPSIDE DOWN!
While this waist pack is made with the usual Kavu quality fabric, has good workmanship and the straps are a nice width (especially compared to most waist packs,) I cannot believe that this passed inspection. You cannot miss the upside down dogs! Unfortunately, I wanted to give this as a gift and now that it is out of stock at the REI I work at, I have to order it online and it will be LATE.
Perfect
Delivered just on time as stated. The size in my opinion is perfect (not too big and bulky but also not super tiny where you can’t fit anything else aside a phone) Able to fit in a pair of sunglasses, card holder, sanitizer, chapstick and my phone. The sunglasses makes it a tight squeeze but manageable. I’d say though not sure if folks with a Tablet sized phone can fit. A.k.a iPhone Pro Max or similar size.
Perfect pretty pack
Such a great little pack. It’s perfect for my passport, wallet, phone and airpods when traveling. I extended the straps as big as it would go and wear it across my chest. Everything I need is right at my fingertips
No bouncing around
I have been looking for a bag to hold my keys and wallet while biking. I had a larger one, but everything annoyingly bounced around. This bag solves all of that. I can hold my keys, wallet, phone, chapstick, and a few other items with no bounce and in a smaller profile. A win-win to me.
