Great shirt
Felt great and it was thin enough to not get over heated as I climbed steps.
Best in class for technical/synthetic shirts
(6'2" 175-180, bought XL) I've run in essentially every brand or type of longsleeve synthetic shirt for running, and I'm yet to find something as light, quick-drying, and breathable as these shirts. No awkward seems to rub, no issues with warping or shrinking while washing and drying. The neck is a bit looser than some other brands, but I like the look. They're not the cheapest around, but they blow away some of the Nike/New Balance stuff in the $30 range and are just as good as some of the more boutique brands in the $70+ range.
Very Happy
I'm finally replacing my first generation capilene tops. The new generation has great feel and has performed upto the high standard set by my originals. They've incorporated a few changes such as a breast logo which helps orient the shirt quickly when putting it on.
Inconsistent Sizing (Sleeve Length)
I own two similar shirts from last year's lot and liked them enough (for hiking and swimming) that I ordered two additional. The new shirts arrived with sleeves 2 to 3 inches longer than last year's model. Simply put, I love the light weight capilene, but the sleeves are stupid long. Returning.
Favorite Shirt
The absolute best shirt! I bought one at a little local climbing shop, used it for like eight months and loved it, and then lost it. Was incredibly bummed! Couldn’t seem to find it again anywhere, then tonight saw it on the app. Think I might get two. It’s an awesome shirt. Very comfortable, and good in both hot weather and somewhat as it gets chilly. I hike with it in Joshua Tree in the summer and it works as a good layer to avoid the sun and the hassle of putting on sunscreen. Also works well as a base under other shirts too.
Capilene is the best
I love this shirt. Of all the moisture wicking fabrics Capilene is my favorite. I did 18 miles in this shirt this weekend in all sorts of weather. Cool mornings and hot sunny afternoons and it was great the whole time. Capilene does have a slight odor to it but it doesn’t bother me at all. Also, I am a girl and find the men’s shirts just fit me better. I also like the designs better.
Great Piece
I bought this for trail running and hiking in the summer. I’m a ginger, therefore I burn easy. This shirt was a great way to avoid having to apply sunscreen to my arms. I wear this shirt while hiking with a child carrier on and it breathes really well. For the price, I think it’s a great buy.
Great hiking shirt
I bought this shirt for my teen aged grandson’s birthday in June. He really liked it as he put it on after opening his gifts! The shirt washes well, dries quickly and takes up little room in his backpack. My husband has one also and wears it as often as it is clean.
Fantastic fabric, good cut and color
The cut is trim/athletic (at least compared to some of the L's out here), which looks better and moves better on those of us who like to sweat outside. The color and print are nice, but the strength here is the FABRIC: the capilene is almost soft as silk but much stronger. Also, it's incredibly light and packable. These shirts be worth the money without the art. For active outdoor pursuits, highly recommended.
Sleeves Too Long
I own several Capilene Cool t-shirts. I love the feel of the fabric and how lightweight they are. I decided to buy this long-sleeve version for cooler weather. The sleeves are too long. The model in the picture is shown with the sleeves coming far down the hand, but I thought this was just an exaggeration. No, that is certainly the style. The sleeves would catch or snag on branches while backpacking. I found myself constantly pulling the sleeves up.
