I bought these boots about a week ago and have put about twenty miles on them wearing a 25lbs pack. They felt good, soft but still supportive, and quite breathable. A good midpoint between heavy duty backpacking boots and trail runners. Also kept my feet dry in light rain and had a good traction.
I bought these last week and was blown away by how light they are and how they fit. These boots are snug for their size but they fit like a glove. Effortless fit from opening the box. Very comfortable and amazingly light. I mean they are really light. Almost like wearing sneakers but with extra support. They are now my favourite boots. Obviously long term robustness is untested.
Outstanding lightweight, comfortable hiking boot. Had never used this brand, but they performed very well over 90 miles in one stint and several other long hikes and backpacking trips. Virtually no break-in required. Number one thing, as mentioned by others, is to put your own full-length insole. Not waterproof from a submersible standpoint; recommend spraying outside to enhance water shedding. Relatively cool boot good for Southwestern mountains in particular.
These boots are so comfortable right out of the box. And they are super lightweight but still very supportive. Not clunky at all. Can't wait to wear them on some hikes once our snow is gone for the season. They don't seem to be waterproof.
But have not had a chance to really test them other than a long walk in one of our local parks in Charlotte NC. The shoe is extremely comfortable and lite. I give them a thumbs up.
I've used them for a few outing on different terrain and so far they fit me really well and are very comfy while very light. Great for light hiking or approach hikes.
