Even prettier in person!
I bought the jacket for Marmots reputation of quality. It far exceeded my expectations. Better quality and far prettier in person. Very feminine. Comes in at the waist so you still look girly. I got a compliment the very first day I wore it.
Things to Consider when Buying the Ithaca Jacket
The Ithaca Jacket is well made. I like the sweater sleeves and the jacket's deep pockets. However, I do not think it would keep me warm when the temperature falls below 35 degrees. A longer jacket or a coat would be better in colder weather. I think the fake fur trim is unnecessary. Since it is removable I took it off before wearing the jacket. I am 5'3", small build and weigh 112 pounds, but the Marmot scale kept showing medium as the size I should order. I think a small would have been a better choice because even when I wear a sweatshirt under the medium jacket it is still roomy. Having said all of this I am glad I purchased the Ithaca Jacket.
Love this jacket!!
I bought this jacket a few months ago and it is now my go to jacket. It looks stylish in a NYC street and works wonderful on a snowy hike. I love the deep warm pockets and the elastic cuffs are hand savers. The sleeves run a little long, but they are perfect for tucking in my hands, which I do all the time since I keep forgetting gloves. I’ve only worn it in 30ish temperature and it works great. It runs roomy, but that works perfect for me as I’m all over the place so I need it to be versatile. From quick jumps in and out of the car to long hikes or walks. Works great with one layer or several depending on the weather and level of activity.

I bought this jacket a month ago and I love it! I was looking for a really warm short jacket to replace one that is starting to wear out. I bought the dark green/teal color and I love the color. The pockets are deep and lined, the inside pocket is deep enough to fit glasses or a smaller wallet, it's warm and fits great. I bought the medium because I wear a lot of sweaters and wanted to make sure the jacket fit over them and it does. I think the sizing is pretty true. The only thing I think is missing is a draw string at the bottom or a slightly tighter fit. It would be nice to be able to draw the bottom in on windy days.

Love the jacket but I can not zip it up I’m thinking of returning the jacket . I ordered the largest size you had. The color looks so wonderful on me . I guess not to bad of a pic grandma of 6 grandkids at the lovely age of 63 . Thank you for fast shipping .
Poor quality
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The worst jacket I ever had. I returned it but they returned it back to me. I need to buy new jacket to other brand because this jacket is really waste of money. Delayed of shipping and poor quality I hope i can have my money back.
don't trust the description or picture
jacket has a one way zip, but is pictured with two. it says 700 down fill but is about as warm as my fleece jacket. runs small in shoulders
Warm without being bulky
I ordered this coat in an XS (I am 5’5”, 118 lbs) about a month ago. The coat is fitted and flattering while still allowing room for a thick sweater or layers underneath. I was surprised at how light weight and not overly puffy/bulky the coat was, while still keeping me warm even in <20 degree Fahrenheit temps. Other nice features include the extra lining at the wrist to keep out the cold and the removable hood and fur trim. Happy with my purchase and would recommend this coat! I paid full price for this coat but I feel it was worth it given the quality.
Awesome Jacket

I’m a cold person and this jacket was one of the only ones that I tried that actually kept me toasty in the freezing temperatures. I needed to get a smaller size than I normally buy, but absolutely love this jacket. It is stylish and not too bulky, and I love how you can remove/add the hood. Super versatile! This jacket will be with me every day!
SO Soft on Inside
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have loved and worn Marmot jackets for years because they tend to have long sleeves. This jacket is SUPER soft inside, it feels like you're in a cozy portable sleeping bag. I usually wear a S in Marmot which I ordered, but it feels a little loose in the stomach/waist. I am ordering an XS to compare, but I will definitely be keeping one of them! Fur hood ruff is cute as well. Will try to update the review once I pick the right size.
