Bump and grind

Good front protection and breathable, so ok for summer and the wet . .. not as heavy as they look .. go up half a size at least ... comfortable and feet are glued to the pedals .... .. will take what you throw at them

Not as sticky a sole as other five tens.

This is a very rugged and sturdy shoe that will form to your foot after a ride or two. It's a very comfortable shoe and has a large toe box. The sole is stiff for excellent power transfer to the pedal. However the sole is not as sticky as other Five Ten shoes and these will slip a little on the up stroke on some platform pedals. Also the rear foam supports that hold your heals in the shoe will detach and slip downwards, out of place, after a few uses. At least mine did. I read another reviewer had the same issue so I think this was a defect in production on some versions. I exchanged my Impacts for a pair of Free-rider Pros, they stick a lot better but don't have all the extra padding and armor as the Impacts.... For $160 retail, these should be perfect! And they are not, thus 3 stars. If you are looking for sticky, look at the Pros or Contacts......

Great shoe, with annoying quality issue

- Wide-enough toe box. Not quite as wide as vxi - Stiff sole - great for power transfer. Too stiff for BMX/DJ, i come off the pedals too easily, but I love them for full suspension bikes - quality - the inner stuffing in the ankle area has somehow slid out of place on one of the shoes. It makes the shoe uncomfortable for walking, but still works ok on the bike. I'm waiting for them to come back in my size to exchange because despite this issue, there's no other shoe I like as much for DH riding

Well built and good grip

I originally ordered 11.5 as I’m size 11. I ended up sending those back for a size 12! They’re built like a tank offering solid protection around your toes and they grip really well. They’re a little heavy but I would take that over a lighter shoe with less protection. I haven’t had a chance to test them in the wet due to it being dry in the UK...it’ll drop by 11 degrees Celsius tomorrow so back to normal! Overall a solid shoe with ample grip. Only criticisms would be the price tag, slightly more ankle protection would be good and a little lighter but happy overall.

MTB shoe

These are the second pair of 5 10's.The 1st went back because they were a tight fit. The second ordered were a full size up. They are very comfortable and give great traction on flat peddles. I rode 15miles up and down The Forest of Dean trails yesterday forgot I had new shoes on. Solid and comfortable. Adidas you need to resize all your shoes. Size up, Size down is too confusing. Choosing a shoe size as an adult shouldn't be a lottery. I've been uk11 eu45 for 30years. My 5 10' are uk 12. Should you be changing the marked size??

Incredibly sticky sole

These shoes are very comfortable but are slightly on the small so as recommended I went up a half a size and they fit perfectly The sole grips the paddles almost like your using cleats and helps transfer power Rode for several hours in middle feb and still had dry and warm feet at the end Toe box is generous so no issues. These are so good I may even get a second pair

It’s an incredible pair of trainers for riding, the comfort is great, the size was spot on, luckily online they say order a bigger pair then your normal size, fully recommend for grip on the pedals, I ride hard tail so good grip is what I need, perfect pair of trainers

Great mountain biking shoe

Really grippy sole and deep heel cup really keeps the shoe firmly on the foot. Fitting is quite small for shoe size, I ended going a half size up from my normal size and fitting was still quite snug.
