I am a new climber and this is my first harness. I bought it because of other reviews giving it a good rating for beginners. I have had the harness for almost 2 months and I am very happy with it. It is very light and comfortable to wear. The 4 gear loops is plenty for me to grow into and hold everything I need for now. The only thing that stops be from giving it 5 stars is that if does pinch a little bit on my legs when I belay. But overall a great starter harness
I really love this harness, it’s light weight and it’s adjustable. The leg straps have a very useful design where you can easily adjust the tightness of the straps by simply pulling a tab. Makes for a more enjoyable repelling experience when you can quickly adjust as needed. I’ll never buy another brand. Highly recommend!
This harness is quality made and comfortable for the price you pay. I am new to top rope and lead climbing. I rented from the gym I am going to for a while. I got tired of using their seatbelt-like harnesses and decided to purchase one. I tried the Black Diamond Momentum Harness and found both harnesses to have comfortable fitting and quality craftsmanship. This particular harness was slightly more comfortable when belaying and at sale price was a couple bucks cheaper. 10/10 would recommend.
After having this harness for only about three months of regular use (3-4 times/week) I was climbing a route around Moab when the gear loop ripped out dropping all of the cams and draws on that loop. While rappelling to fish all my gear out of the various crevices into which they fell I noticed that the belay loop had also partially sheared and two more of the gear loops were severely frayed. This damage was all due to about 20 feet of a sandstone squeeze chimney on the route as none of the damage was previously present. I expect a harness to be able to safely withstand normal abuse associated with climbing. I have a black diamond harness that is still going strong after 6 years and many a sandstone squeeze chimney. I'd hope that higher quality manufacturing would go into something intended to protect one's life.
I’m a beginning climber and a large lady. I purchased this harness because none of the women’s harnesses fit. It’s perfect so far! Great fit, safe and comfortable. I haven’t used it long enough to speak to its durability, hence the 4 star rating.
This is a great harness it’s very adjustable, very comfortable, I can climb in it all day or belay in it all day without any bit of discomfort. It’s very nice on the back if you take a fall too because it has a split webbing feature in the waist belt that I really like that spreads out the load. If you’re looking for an all-around harness this is the one!
While the family does mostly sport climbing, my boy (10) and I are starting to get into belay'ed routes. I wanted something that would fit both of us, and we found a great value here. Works awesome
